When you got to the hospital, all you knew was that your heart was still beating. And you had a decent amount of consciousness.
When you woke up, you were startled. Your eyes had been bandaged and so had the rest of your body. It stung your chest whenever you made an effort to try moving. Then you felt the bed move, then you heard a soft snore.
Guren...He must have been here since he put me here...
You wanted to tell him you loved him, that you were sorry for yelling at him. Everything. But your throat was dry, and you couldn't see. All you wanted was to see Guren. His raven hair, purple eyes, everything. It made you feel sad and lonely.
You had never actually been accepted,
Loved,
Noticed,
At least not until you met Guren. He loved you, and you had never experienced love first hand before. It was new. Now you knew that love makes you feel all sorts of emotions. Sometimes they're good and sometimes they're sad.
"...hm...? (Y/n)..? Are you awake?" Guren asked quietly
You jolted up, trying to clear the tears that were falling down your bandages, but you could barely move. He noticed and moved his hand towards your face. His hand was warm, his touch, sincere. He gently rubbed your tears away with his thumb.
"G...Guren...I-I'm s..sorry..." You managed to say
"You shouldn't be sorry. I'm the one who should be saying those words. I couldn't even save you..again..!" He sounded in pain
"I couldn't stop Kureto! Look at how much pain he inflicted on your body!" He trailed off
With all your effort and pain, you moved your arm and pressed it against his chest, feeling his heartbeat. It made you smile,
"Y..you're pretty stupid..you know..that?" You said in a hoarse tone
"Guren...I..L..Love you...You know that...right?"
He sobbed,
He got up and cuddled himself next to you. Wrapping his arms around your waist.
"Love you too...Now get some rest..." He whispers
"I have one...favor.."
"Yes?" He asks you curiously
"Can you take off the bandages...on my eyes..? I want to see you..I don't care what the doctor said..Please.." You begged
He gently lifted your head and began to slowly unwrap them. When he was done you tilted your head to the side, you saw Guren. His eyes showed that he was tired from waiting and crying. You were happy, you pulled him closer. He gently smiled. You gently rose your head and kissed Guren. He was everything you could ask for. You cuddled, (tried to anyway). Letting the darkness envelope you and your lover in the night.
