This is probably one of the unpleasant life I'm gonna live. I'm skeptical about my future.
I can not tell you my name, 'cause you'll probably meet me under a different one. As far as my memories can go, I have been having this weird ability to remember my past lives. Well... the memories themselves do not always come at the moment I was born. Sometimes it resurfaces randomly at different ages after a significant event, even on the brink of my death. Sometimes I can remember all my life, other times I can only remember a life before. There is the time I could remember the life of my very first one, but most of the time that particular memory won't resurface. I know it's there but I couldn't get it. It's not like I have control over what I remember. Mostly, the memories are jumbled up and I can only grasp partial parts of the whole picture.
The knowledge from my previous lives often becomes advantages, but I'm not saying that it would always be the case.
It was raining. The last day of my life as Evard.
I remember going home late after finishing the report for tomorrow's meeting. The song came out from my earphones and became my sole companion on that rainy night. A pedestrian light turns green and I walk, crossing the street, going back to my studio size apartment. The sound of the rain and the music on my ears conceal the voice from a woman who screams at me. When I realized what's happening, it was too late.
My body was flying across the street. The umbrella slipped out from my hand, flying to the other side. I was hit by a truck. I fell limp in the middle of the road, unable to move a muscle. Pain rushing in and blood flowing out. It was so painful. Voices of people who were running towards me and the car's siren felt far away. My consciousness slowly faded away.

At that moment when I knew I'm going to die, more memories rushed into my brain. The headache was unbearable and I closed my eyes.
