Chapter 01

I woke up in a big empty bed, greeted by the bright light from an unfamiliar ceiling.

The feeling of a truck just hit me is so real and I can even see some blood flowing out as my body becomes cold. I shivered from the shocks and the pain. The memories of my most recent life were so fresh that I still feel like I'm still him.

My head hurts. This sudden flood of information really messes with my brain. I have an urge to vomit but try to resist it. I slowly control my unstable breathing, trying to calm down. You're okay, you're safe now, you're not Evard. l will never get used to this unpleasant feeling of fear after remembering my death, no matter how many times I've experienced it.

I slowly get up from my bed. My legs feel so weak and I just drag them, heading towards the bathroom. I open the sink, letting the water flow a bit, and immediately wash my face. The cold water helps calm my nerves down. After getting a few deep breaths, my body finally overcomes the shivers. I feel more stable and then look up at the mirror.

I look at a young man in his early twenty. The man who stares back at me has ash brown hair and dark eyes. He's around 170cm tall with a body that's not very thin nor bulky. Just average. Nevertheless, his face looks quite nice with a sense of femininity.

I studied my looks, trying to remember every detail of how I appear to others. One thing that disturbs me is the fact that I have bandages on both of my arms. I touch them and another flash of memories hit my head. This time, it's the memories of my current life. The new me in this body.

What the? That was an unpleasant background.

My name is Caden. Well, that's my current name. Born into a rich noble family, I have three older brothers, two older sisters, and a younger brother. Quite a big family I have, but that's because not all of us have the same mom. Even so, my family is quite a harmonious one, especially after we clear out every person's social standing. I lived in the Southern part of this Kingdom. With my doting mother, I got everything I wanted since I was little. Yes, I was your classic spoiled rich kid.

The thing is, this universe that I live in now is not an ordinary one. I thought I've encountered all possible worlds that could exist but I guess I was wrong. In this world, human has evolved and now has a secondary sex to prevent extinction when the female rate was so low. Besides male and female, we are being grouped into Alpha, Beta, and Omega... and everyone can literally get pregnant! Alpha is the leader, Beta is the worker, while Omega is the breeder.

My siblings are quite diverse in terms of this secondary sex. My father is an Alpha, and so are all my older brothers and one of my older sisters. The other one is a Beta, like me. While my younger brother is an Omega.

I thought I was quite lucky to be born as a Beta like the majority of the population here. With the amount of wealth my family has, I can live an easy life until I die. I used to think the worst thing that could happen to me is being appointed to help my brothers running the family business.

And that was until two months ago. On the day of my little brother's coming of age ceremony. The arranged marriage between my little brother and the heir of the most powerful noble in the North suddenly canceled. When my little brother turned eighteen, he found his destined mate. To make it worse, his mate is the prince of this Kingdom. So, even though his fiancé's family is the most powerful Duke house across the Kingdom, they can't do anything about it. Forcing both sides to annul the agreement.

I thought it would end with our family repaying them with compensation money, but my father thinks differently. Being the only one who had not married, I was sent as my brother's replacement. It seems my father doesn't want to let go of this political and business opportunity and just pursue all possible options. The same goes for the other party as they immediately accept the offer.
