5 ish weeks to go
Our little girl doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds about the size of a honey due lemon. It's so snug in my womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore. Thank god! but the number of times she kicks is remaining the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete. She'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
Matt and I discussed my birth plan. I knew what I wanted, but I also knew things could change the day she's ready to come. I looked at Matt with his hand on my belly " I know everything might not go as planned but I think I want to try for a natural labor." Matt looked at me " hey babe I'm by your side.." I kissed him " thanks baby... I just want to feel the labor without drugs if necessary." Matt smiled "whatever you want babe..."
