"Jackson!!!" Farrah yelled, bursting into his room
"What!!" He cheered, sarcastically
"My parents are coming home for New Years!!" The blonde girl squealed, jumping up and down
"That's amazing!" Jackson smiled, hugging the small girl
"God I can't wait." She smiled
As the time came closer to midnight, Jackson, Ramona, Lola, Popko, and Farrah stood in front of Jackson's bed, preparing to take a selfie.
"Ok, this filter makes us look like we're in Tokyo, so everyone yell 'Happy New Year' in Japanese. How do you say that?" Ramona asked Lola
"I don't know. I was born in Fresno" Lola sighed.
Max jumped in the background, right as Ramona went to take the photo
"What are you doing here?" Jackson asked
"Mom said you guys have to include me in your New Years Eve party. So what's up, my squad?" Max greeted
"Wow. Even after saying that, Max still manages to be cooler than you." Farrah said to Jackson
"We are not your squad." Ramona told Max.
"Hey. I'll be your squad." Farrah argued, fist bumping Max
"Perhaps you didn't hear me. Mom said. So let's start-ay this part-ay." Max continued
"Hey, Max. I think that this party needs some guacamole." Jackson said
"Sure, big bro. Be back with the dippin so don't be trippin." Max said, strutting out as Jackson shut the door behind him.
"We gotta get rid of Max tonight." He said
"I know a guy who knows a guy." Popko said
"Not that kind of get rid of." Jackson continued, "I don't want him messing up the midnight kisses."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa... We haven't agreed to any kisses." Ramona laughed
"Uh... I did." Lola said, hugging Jackson
"Are you still mad at me about that hippo video? I said I was sorry." Popko questioned Ramona
"I'm still not promising any kisses." Ramona said
"I understand." Popko said, "I can't buy your love with bribes, gifts and trinkets. Here, have a Tolberone."
Everyone scoffed at his attitude and began to plan for a trick to get Max to leave the group alone
"Do you really think Max is going to fall for the old Netflix fake countdown?" Lola asked
"Of course he is. The fake countdown was invented for gullible little kids." Jackson said
