Interviews Part 4

Who's bored of interviews? This is going to be shorter, since only one dragon is being interviewed.

"Umber, why did you get here late?" Glory asked.

"Well, no one was sure whether I was supposed to be there or not. Apparently I was, but it took a while to get here." Umber replied. "And why weren't you sure?" Glory prodded.

"Well, The MudWings never had to participate before." He said. "And no one really told us."

"Are you worried about the Arena? And fighting?" Umber froze. He paused, and then, his voice tight, he said, "I know I won't win. I was never going to win. I will do anything I can while living to help Qibli win."

Shocked silence. "Why Qibli?" Glory asked.

"He's smart and funny and nice..." Umber murmured uncomfortably.

"There must be something else." Glory said. "Kinkajou is hilarious and nice and enthusiastic and beautiful. Moon is kind, shy and smart. Why not them, or the others?" Umber raised his eyes to look her dead in the eye. "I'm afraid I can't tell you that, Glory."
