Sitting here looking out, mind just going
Pencil and pad tightly in hand, creative juices flowing
Then it hits me, almost strikes me like a match
Even though we've been apart, I'm still desperately attached
To be specific, kind of like a lock is to a latch
Miss you dearly and always thinking of you
Even though pretty soon we'll be once removed
Against my will, I might add because I still yearn
Oh my dearest [Blocked Name], will you ever learn?
Love is blind, shaded even to the keenest eye
Why oh why must my yearning make me cry?
So deeply into fathoms of love I fell with you
Now I'm drowning and the surface I'll never make it to
And it's all because of you like Ne-Yo serenades
Soon it will be over like high school and Prom days
I just hope and pray that this is what you truly want
Because after this day, I will be no more.
