Whenever I see the sunrise,
I see your eyes.
Glaring at me with your hot, bright love.
Letting me know that you're still watching from above.
The sunrise keeps me warm and safe like you once did.
Until that not-so-lucky day when I found you
Resting permanently in your bed.
But in the sunrise, I see comfort like no other.
Remembering only you and not another.

Survivor's Remorse
الشعرSurvivor's Remorse is a personal collection of poetry, songs, lyrics, prose, and more that ranges from the early 2000s through 2023 when I finally decided to start a new poetry book! Thank you immensely to anyone who has taken time to read this book...
