I wasn't meant to love you because
Every time my love is due
You make up every excuse in the world not to love me, too.
I wasn't meant to love you because
You loved everyone else.
You never took the time to step up to figure out how I felt.
I wasn't meant to love you because
God sent me a sign.
That I knew deep down in my heart that
You weren't only mine.
I wasn't meant to love you because
You weren't good enough for me.
But, I'm seeing now what before
I was too blind to see.
I wasn't meant to love you because
You were worried about other things besides me.
This pain feels like shackles on my feet.
I have to be set free.
