"If you do well friday, you get to work on the album with us." Ashton said as soon as he walked through the front door, he still seemed as excited and happy as he did this morning.
"You smell awfull." I said with a laugh when he walked up to me, I had been sitting behind the piano for 6 hours and I was finally getting close to being happy with it. "I thought you didn't smoke." I recognised the smell before he even reached me, the well known smell that hung around my dad up untill 3 years ago.
"I don't, Calum does and I sat beside him all day. I just wanted to say hi before taking a shower." He said with a grin before kissing me softly. I could tell he had a couple of drinks but he wasn't drunk, just a little light headed.
"Alright, go get that smell of you." I said as I softly pushed him away from me.
"Yes captain." He laughed before running to his room. I know he's old enough to know what he's doing, but he knows that if he starts smoking regularly, it's over. I don't mind about a cigarette at a party now and then or when he's with the others. But it's a hard no to drugs or regular smoking and he knows and respects that.
I put the music sheets to the side again and sat down on the couch with Piper, I went through the channels untill I found one playing an episode of Grey's Anatomy. As a medical student wanting to become a surgeon, the show is hilarious. There are a lot of stupid mistakes and lots of things that couldn't be true.
So here I am watching a show that only makes sense half of the time. It gives a wrong view to younger people of what the job is. You get treated atleast 10 times shittier as them as a surgical intern.
"I believe I smell better now." Ashton said when he came back downstairs, "so what do you want to get?"
"Is chinese alright with you?" I asked as I turned around to look at him.
"Yeah sure" he replied with a smile as he took the menu. He sat down beside me, Piper sleeping against my other side. I went through the menu and he called to order our food. "I could never do it." He said as he looked at the tv screen.
"Ah it's fun." I replied with a laugh, he laughed too but shook his head.
"That person's life is in your hands when on the table." He looked away when they were poking a needle into someone's vene and I smiled at how adorable his fear of needles was.
"You get to save lifes." I said as I looked at him before opening netflix to look for a movie. "Any preferences?"
"How would you like to learn how to play videogames?" He asked and as much as I wanted to say something, I held it back.
"Are you a great teacher?" I asked and he nodded proudly, yeah he was definitely light headed and a little tipsy. "Sure, sounds fun."
"How much are you against violence?" He asked as he got up to take the remotes and choose a game
"I don't mind" I replied and he took a game and put it in. I gave him the tv remote so he could change the channel and in return I got a game consoler.
"Have you ever played this before?" He asked in all seriousness as the game was starting up.
"No" I lied. He went on to explain how to play the game and I was just listening to him with a smile, he was so determined to make sure I knew how it worked while I just nodded and smiled.
We started our first game on the same team but I just made sure I got myself killed quickly, pressing all the wrong buttons.
"We'll just try again, don't worry." He said as he restarted the game.
