CalumScott: Day 3 in the studio with @SamanthaE writing the very last song. Not long anymore untill my debut album will be released. It has been an absolute pleasure working with the songwriters from Capitol records.

My social media kind of exploded when Calum replied that. Stories started to spread around and not many people got it by the right end but I just ignored it all.
I put my phone away again and focused on the song. It was his coming out story but he wanted to make it relatable for everyone. This song isn't just limited to a story of sexual identity, but about the relationship between parent and child and acceptance as a whole. It hasn't been easy to write but not impossible. We had gotten halfway through the lyrics in 2 days.
"I still can't believe it, my best friend is becoming famous." James said with a grin as he looked at me from the couch.
"Instead of being amazed by me, help me in the kitchen because this is attempt 4 and it still misses something." It was monday now and they would come to London friday morning. I was so determined to cook something great for him the first night but I kept failing.
"I'm serious, how did all of this even happen?" He asked without putting any effort in getting up.
"I don't even know, it just happened. And maybe after turning Juilliard down almost 6 years ago, the universe is now telling me that I made a mistake."
"You're really liking your new job, aren't you?" He asked as he sat up to look at me.
"It makes me so happy. I can't really compare it yet to being a surgeon because I haven't started my surgical internship yet but being in the studio and writing just makes me feel like me again. Like I'm 17 years old again writing a song in my room." I said with a sigh, "I'm glad I signed. I know it's still very new and I have to see it over time but so far, I don't know if I will end up in a hospital after med school."
"You have to do what makes you happy, the universe would have killed you if you did choose for Juilliard but if your heart is really in the music instead of medicine, you can't ignore that. I don't think the universe has decided yet what to make of you."
"I think the universe is just confused as hell with me because I shouldn't be alive anymore." I replied with a laugh. "Okay, number 5 is good enough."
"Let me taste it." He said a he got up and walked over, I gave him a spoon so he could take a taste from the sauce. "Yeah it's amazing."
"One day I'm going to stop burning everything and actually be able to cook."
"One day." He said with a smile, "So how do you like it to be famous?"
