Chapter 16

It wasn't until seeing the Camaro drive through the locked gates that Danielle realizes where the car was taking them. The Camaro drove the 3 teenagers towards the Observatory but was under construction for remodeling. No one was allowed to enter, hence why The Camaro drives through the locked gate with ease. The Camaro pulls up to the curb of the sidewalk, pretending to turn itself off. But, with the somewhat silent rumbling underneath Danielle's seat, she knows that the Camaro was merely pretending.

Sam and Mikaela get out of the car, towards the grass area away from the car. Danielle however, hesitant steps out of the car, not following the two teenagers, resting her body on the side of the car.

"Danny?" Sam asks, noting his twin's disappearance, "Come on."

"You two can go ahead" Danielle waves him off, responding bluntly, "I can see from here."

Sam and Mikaela nod, walking towards one of the many Observatory monuments, staring at the sky in confusion. Danielle sighs, watching them. She heads over to the hood of the Camaro, taking a seat right center of the hood, pulling her legs to her chest, resting her chin on her knees. The Camaro rumbles underneath her rear, causing Danielle to lightly blush from embarrassment.

"You're so cute-when you-blush" The Camaro's radio sings out.

Danielle huffs, masking her laugh, "Thanks."

Danielle and the alien robot stays silent, until Danielle hums, leaning back on the hood, her eyes staring at the sky.

"...Should I be worried about what happened earlier?" Danielle asks, "Is there more trying to kill us?"

The radio stays silent before a small buzz emits from it.

"Beautiful- no matter what- I am going to protect you until my last dying breath. I care- about you too- much."

Danielle blushes, even more, patting her hand on the hood of the car, continuing to stare at the sky. As she stares at the sky, she notices small orbs that start to get closer as they fall from the sky. Upon, further inspection, they look more like meteors. Danielle holds her breath, watching as 4 different meteors fly across the sky in different directions, one of them zooming above the 3 teenagers and the Camaro as it lands half a mile away.

Danielle gaps, feeling the Camaro move underneath her but catches sight of the radio inside giving a crowd laughter.

"I got you- Beautiful" The Camaro's radio says, "Don't worry."

"How come you keep calling me beautiful?" Danielle asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Because- you are beautiful. One of the most-beautiful things- I've ever seen in my life. Of- course you're beautiful."

Danielle grows quiet, noticing Sam and Mikaela rush over to her, both of them grabbing her hands, making her hop off the Camaro hood, following them to the crash site. The 3 rush over to a ledge that shows a massive dent in the dirt in front of them, seeing the meteor in the ground. It looks like an egg, but with cosmic engravings around the metal shaped egg. Suddenly, the egg starts to transform, Danielle watching holding her breath, seeing all the different parts of metal shape and form into it was an alien robot, the same size as the Camaro when it transformed. Sam and Mikaela quickly drag Danielle away from the scene, both of them too afraid to even see the rouge robot's next move. The 3 rush over to the Camaro, quickly getting in the car, staying quiet as the Camaro drives off away from the Observatory.
