*Dominic's POV*
Rubbing my temples I sighed as my patience was begging to wear thin. It had been hours since the second part of the meeting started. The little interruption with Nikita and Clay had gotten us off track and right about now I would really like to hit that boy again. With all the commotion the other Alpha's couldn't concentrate and when Jenna linked me to tell me Nikita was in a altercation with a teenage boy. She didn't even finish telling me what was going on before I was up and out of my seat. Watching Nikita with the boy Clay, I felt like my skin would burst open as I had to fight to keep Ace in control. I do have to admit that I felt so proud as I watched her. She truly was amazing is every way.
'Can we go see mate now?' Ace asked, his voice sounding tired. Seems he was just as sick of siting here as I was.
'Not yet.'
'But it's been hours.' He whined.
'Did you just whine.. like a puppy?' I asked in disbelief. What happened to the big bad Alpha wolf but then again he always had a stronger need to be with his mate.
'Shut up. Don't act like you don't miss her too.' His words were true and I hated that he was right. Nikita was constantly on my mind when I wasn't near her. It may have only been hours ago that I seen her, but I was already itching to see her beautiful face. The short time we had together up in the room was not enough for me, nor was the short time I spent with her to give introductions.
'See.' Ace said smugly.
"You can not be serious?" Glen questioned. "Do you really think using wolves as bait is a good idea?" More bickering had me focusing back on the conversation.
"Well unless you have a better idea then please, enlighten me." Liza said as she leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest. I mentally groaned, knowing full well that this was going to turn into another long debate between the two alphas.
"Anything would be better than that absurd plan!"
"Then give me one!" Glen opened his mouth to speak but closed it again.
"That's what I thought. You have no idea about how to draw the rogues out." Liza smirked.
"If I did, it certainly wouldn't be some crazy plan that could get innocent people killed. You know, you really are a fucking psycho. I thought the rumors were just that, rumors but honestly. Now that I have met you, I can see why people say that." Liza's eyes flashed with anger as she stood from her chair and lunged over the table towards Glen.
Cursing under my breath, I shot up from my chair. Reaching out I yanked the back of Glen's chair to the side, flinging him and the chair to the corner behind me Liza landed in a crouched position at my feet. Snarling viciously as her nails became replaced with claws. Folding my arms over my chest I looked down at her, a blank look on my face.
"Liza." Her eyes met mine for a split second before landing back on Glen as he stood from his chair behind me.
"You psycho!" He exclaimed. Liza roared as she jumped to the side and sprung forward from her crouched position. Letting out an annoyed growl I quickly snatched the feisty she-wolf by the back of the neck as she passed. My large hand wrapping almost all the way around, as I held her in a tight grip. Liza flailed around wildly, trying to free herself from my grip.
"Alpha Glen." I said calmly, but inside I honestly wanted to let the she-wolf rip him to shreds right about now. He has proven to me more of a hindrance than any other wolf I know. Always arguing with anyone and everyone but at the same time, never having his own ideas to solve the problem. Closing my eyes I took a deep calming breath before opening them once again.
"I suggest you stop talking." I continued.
"But she's the crazy one. What did I do?" There he was arguing... again. A deep growl spread through my chest as I took a threatening step towards him, Liza stilled in my hand.
"I said, stop talking!" My piercing gaze met his wide eyes as he took a step back. To Ace's disappointment the Alpha used his brains and kept his mouth shut.
'Dom. is everything okay? I can feel your anger.' The sweet sound of Nikita's angelic voice flutter through our mind link.
'Just some wolves testing my patience.' I replied.
"Very good, now. What is this? High school? You two are Alpha's, it is your job to do everything in your power to protect your packs. Fighting with each other will not help anyone. If one of you attacks the other while on my territory, it's on me to deal out the punishment." I paused, letting all the information sink in.
'Ut oh. How dare they do that to the mighty Alpha Conan?' She teased. I mentally rolled my eyes. Of course she would try to defuse me like this.
'Yes, well. If only they knew what a foolish thing that is to do' I replied dryly. The sound of her laughter had me fighting to keep a smile off my face.
"Is that what you want?" I gazed into Glen's eyes. The alpha swallowed slowly.
"No.. no Alpha Conan." Good, it seems my reputation still comes in handy.
"What about you, Hm?" I said as I turned my head and looked at Liza. Her hands held the one I had wrapped around her neck, as she had been trying to pry it off. Her claws had retracted, her eyes no longer swirled with black. Liza shook her head slightly and winced from the pressure of my hand.
'Well this does sound very serious. Why don't you end the meeting for tonight. I'm sure you are all restless from being locked up in the room for most of the day.'
'How can I when we haven't accomplished anything significant yet?'
'Dom, come on. You know very well how wolves get. Things will only get worse if you continue to argue. Nothing good will come from it with emotions running high.' Crap, why did she have to be right.
'I guess I have to agree with you. How did I get so lucky to have such a smart girl like you?' I could practically see her roll her eyes.
"No, Alpha Conan. I have no quarrel with you, nor do I desire to." I gave her a curt nod before releasing her from my grasp. She sucked in a deep breath as she rubbed her throat.
"Good." Turning I looked at the other alpha's in the room, all watched with calculating eyes. Looking down to check the watch on my wrist, excitement filled me as it read six o'clock
'Flattery will get you..everywhere mister.' She giggled before saying.
'Please remind them that they are welcome to stay for dinner. Oh! Also extend the invitation for them to stay the night. I know most of them come from a long ways away, I'm sure they don't want to have to travel back home just to turn around a few hours later and make the same trip again.' I mentally groaned at the thought of having alpha's stay on my lands.
'Must they really stay here?'
'Dominic Conan!'
'Yes love?' I asked while fighting a smirk. Messing with her was just so fun.
'Are you really going to send them home?' I could almost see her standing there, scowl on her face and hands on her hips.
'Not if it would please you to let them stay.'
