I have wondered, why I choose rooms
With nothing but concrete walls
as a view.
I feel I'm trying to escape the vast forest that I called home
Where it all began.
Wrapped in the blanket of fairytales
Dreaming of a happy forever after,
I trapped myself in a tower made of walls of my fears;
I was told I have to wait to be rescued.
None came to that secluded emptiness
And I thought maybe saving someone else would save me.
So I went on a quest to transform
the beasts.
But they forgot to tell
That sometimes we are the beast
in the story.
You are taught to fit the glass slipper
But the glass is shattered and the pieces dig deeper.
And when the curse finally drowns you into darkness
You know there is no knight coming to save you.
