The forever growing misfortunes
Of all misplaced feelings
These unhealthy attachments
And morbid longing
The defeated resolve to
Inhibit daunting sensations
These smoke signals
Ascending in blind spots
The verses of a sad song
Etched deep in amnesiac's skin
These arsenic residuals
From the scandalous meetings
The gallant summer's soberly affections
Morphed to unreliable winter's numb love
And these fading lines of life
In death's soft embrace.
