Driving a car, we find a sleazy motel
Like any couple, we book a room for two.
Our names and faces, flashing on the tv screen.
We both smile at the manager,
Before he could lift the phone to call
I shoot him in the face.

A deserted motel is always
Best place to hide bodies.
You grab the keys, carry the money bags
To our room.

Like any flashback, the story begins
On a beautiful morning
Gunshots blending with screams
In a store.

Fast forward - Two bodies
A money bag later
We stop a car, drag the man out
And drive away in it.

We laugh, we sing
Our hearts pounding in the chest
Moments like this with you
Is the reason why I continue.

This chase, these sins
Mean nothing without you.

We lived as outcasts when we met
There was no place to call home
But each other.

The road we chose was dimly lit
Destination always blurred
And the signs pointing to turn back;
That never stopped us
For we were building our own fairytale.

But today felt different
Like it was the last of living as fugitives.
There was a paradise, waiting for us
Where the world stopped existing.

For a second, the universe slowed down
You rush to grab your gun
"The men of law have found us,
There is no running anymore", you say.

You place a gun in my hand,
"Let's find each other in hell"
And walk out the door
Flashes of guns light up the motel room

I was a sunflower, following my sun
In his glory, I bloomed.
