Gina held me in her arms, rocking me back and forth. I was a child again, an anxious nine year old, struggling to breathe.

Gina began to sing the song 'Tengo Una Muñeca Vestida de Azul' as an attempt to calm me down.

"Tengo una muñeca vestida de azul
Con su camisita y su canesú
La saqué a paseo, se me constipó
La tengo en la cama con mucho dolor
Y esta mañanita me dijo el doctor
Que le dé el jarabe con un tenedor
Dos y dos son cuatro
Cuatro y dos son seis
Seis y dos son ocho
Y ocho diez y seis
Y ocho veinte y cuatro
Y ocho treinta y dos
Ánimas benditas me arrodillo yo" she sang the words.

At the time, I had no idea what the song was about. I now know that the English translation is this:

'I have a doll dressed in blue
With her little shirt and her lace shawl,
I took her for a stroll and she caught a cold,
I have her in bed in much pain.
This very morning, the doctor told me
To give her some syrup with a fork.
Two and two are four
Four and two are six
Six and two are eight
And eight are sixteen
And eight are twenty-four
And eight are thirty-two,
I kneel blessed souls'

"Tengo una muñeca vestida de azul" I sing quietly to myself as a voice screams the words, "Elise, can you hear me?"

"Con su camisita y su canesú" I continue as my bed moved through the busy hallway.

"Elise Carter?" The deep voice repeats when my bed stops moving.

My heavy eyes open slowly to find my surrounding a complete blur. I attempt to focus my eyes on the man in white and the women surrounding him.

I look down at my body to find myself in a blue and white hospital gown, with tubes around my hands and arms.

I furrow my brows before looking back up at the people. "Elise, you're in the hospital, there has been an accident"

My mind flashes back to the night of my sixteenth birthday, when Chris and I met up in my bathroom. I remember the positive pregnancy test and the child growing inside of me.

My eyes widen in terror as I drop my gaze to my stomach. "Oh no! Oh no!"

"Elise" the doctor places his hand on my shoulder, "you're going to be okay" He stands tall above me with his dark hair and eyes.

"No, you don't understand" I shake my head violently, "I'm pregnant!" I scream with tears streaming down my cheeks.

The doctor's eyes widen before he looks over to the nurses.

The doctor slid warm gel over my abdomen before picking up an ultrasound transducer and sliding it over my belly. He looks up at the screen just as the nurse presses a button on another machine.

Suddenly the room fills with the sound of my baby's heartbeat as an image of the child appears on the screen.

"Your baby" the doctor smiles at the screen. "Nice and healthy"

"Thank God" I sigh before looking closely at the screen.

My baby. There's my baby. Tiny little thing. My little bean.

"Your family and friends are waiting outside" the nurse looks over to me.

My mind goes back to the accident. Jenny and Blake were in the car with me. How did this happen? I remember Blake turning into that poll so vividly. But why did he make that turn? There were no cars around us.

"How are my friends?" I ask the nurse.

"They're fine" the nurse assures "the girl has a broken arm...and the boy is just in a little shock...your parents and your brother and boyfriend are outside worried sick about you darl..."
