"Everything began long before you were born..."

I hummed to myself quietly, while I brushed my long hair. I couldn't help but smile as I rubbed my stomach gently.

Today would be the day I would tell Gabriel. I feel estatic, but butterflies swarmed in my stomach when I thought about his reaction.

Would he be happy or upset?

We had only been married for a few months, but...things had moved quickly.

The coronation was in a few days, between all the prepping, speeches, and banquets; I had finally found a moment to talk to him alone.

Someone knocked on the door. I called out,"Come In!"

Gabriel peeked his head in with a bouquet of purple carnations.

"Para ti mi vida(For you my love.)"

"Gracias mi amor."

I reached up to kiss him and thank him again.

He sat on the chair next to me and grasped my hand, placing a light kiss on it.

"What did you want to talk about mi amor?"

His voice alone could take my breathe away. I could feel my cheeks heat up, my palm sweat, and my throat become dry.

I take a deep breathe and began. "Gabriel remember our idea to expand the office?"

"Yes."

"Well... I don't think we should expand it anymore."

"I thought you wanted a larger office?"

"I think we'll be needing to change it up a bit, add carpet, white curtains, paint it a cream color, add a crib..."

He looked at me in confusion for a second before his eyes widened. He stood like a statue, looking at me for what seemed an eternity.

He managed to cough out, "Are you .. Are we? You a cr-?

Tears streemed down my face when I cut him off, "Yes. Gabriel I'm pregnant."

He jumped up with the biggest smile. He picked me up, lifted me above his shoulders and twirled me around, before he grew worried again.

"Oh no.. did I hurt you?. I'm just so happy. Madeline I love you."

"I love you too. "

We kissed tenderly, passionately, completely as one. This man was my everything, my world, and I his. I couldn't think of a better moment than this.
