A month after the outbreak, Jana was in the city to do a quick supplies run. With a hand gun and a couple of zombie kill experience, she went to the grocery shop who looks harmless the most.
Sa gitna ng puno ng pag iingat na pagdedekwat ni Jana ng supplies, she met someone on the way. Another survivor. Just like her.
"Hindi ako infected. Naghahanap lang ng corned beef kasi wala na akong supplies." pag angat pa ng mga kamay ng lalakeng naka ripped jeans na nakatayo malapit sa cashier. Then he smiled at her.
That day, the grocery place had only few zombies wandering around. Kung kaya't nakapag dekwat sila ng medyo matiwasay at napagtanto rin ni Jana na harmless ang nakasama niyang mag shopping. It felt like a normal day in a grocery shop. They both treated each other as if the world hadn't ended yet, helping each other get goods and share a few stories.
His name was June and back then he looked fine. Really really fine.
But Jana wasn't okay. She had her own issues. Just like everyone else in zombieland.
Patungo na sila sa exit ng grocery shop nang posasan ni Jana ang kamay ni June sa may bakal na hagdan.
"Jana, ano to?" June looked at her in confusion. Pilit siyang nagpupumiglas mula sa pagkaka posas pero nagdudulot lang ito ng inggay. "Bakit mo to' ginagawa? Anong problema mo?"
She didn't say anything and left once the groans echoed from the upper floor.

Jana woke up to the rattling sound of gunshots. Nakita na lamang niya si June, ang kanilang lider, na nagpapaulan ng mga bala sa kalangitan habang nakangisi sa kanya.
"Ya! Where are you going? You can't just leave us here!"
"Bakit? Gusto mo bang sumama sa kanila?" bulong ni Jana na punung puno na sa kabila ng mga nangyari ngayong araw.
"Babe, pasensya na pero sumusunod lang ako kay Bossing." sabi ni Xander na siyang kakatapos lang i duct tape ang mga kamay at paa niya.
"Ikaw rin naman pala may kasalanan." dagdag pa ni Xander at tinignan lang siya ng hindi makapaniwala ni Jana.
"Good luck sa mga zombies! Wohoo!" the leader laughed like a lunatic until his last round of bullet blasted. "Hoy Xander, tara na!"
Dead silence slowly filled them for several seconds after the group drove away. The three of them had been sitting in either utter exhaustion or anxiety.
"Wow. Best day ever." Luhan huffed ridiculously.
"Super!" Jana said in return, releasing an exhausted breath.
"It was really great meeting your old friends. They were so nice."
