chapter 21

the sound of the door knocks was quiet...in the evening all the event have different taste... it was 8pm... Tia stand up to open the door... the commander was standing on the door smiling and calmly saying:

- "good evening"

Tia looked at the commander in a surprised look because he didn't come to there room from a long time... she smiled back and said:

- "good evening sir"

the commander get in the room interestingly like he doesn't see anything in it because the one who always challange and tease him is gone which is eunsae... he pull up his eyebrows in a signal to cut his thoughts saying:

- "where is eunsae?"

Tia was silent and confused while watching the commander carefuly while he blushed and felt nervous but he held his tongue and said again:

- "Ah... sorry... where is min?"

Tia smiled and excused herself to get in and call for min.... even that two days passed to what happened but min's expressions were still in anger.... furious... and the effects of tears still clear on her eyes, the commander get near min who tried to turn her face from him... the smile didn't fade away while he huged her and kissed her on the cheek.... she tried to get away from him because she's still mad at him... but his arms kept huging her to stop her struggle... he whispered in her ear saying:

- "i'm sorry sis... you know that you are the most precious thing i have in this world..."

min looked at her brother while hiding her tears and said:

- "but you slapped me"

- "because you did wrong"

- "she's the one who teased me"

she said in angry voice...

- "easy... easy min she didn't do anything and didn't say anything will annoy you but you with your friends hated her... what ever she do or say she will be in your point of view wrong and annoying..."

- "and eunsae...."

maru expected min to say anything but not mintion eunsae's name... he put down his hands from his sister's shoulders and he seems nervous while saying:

- "what about eunsae?"

- "you were too harsh on her like you did with me for sena... you apologised to me but her?"

he wanted to end the subject about eunsae and end what he feel from hard feelings that he doesn't want anyone to know about it so he said:

- "eunsae is the one who choose not to hear me and do what she want... and what i did it wasn't for sena..."

- "but maru... everyone started to talk about you both and how you care too much about her... like you two are lovers..."

maru laughed when he heared min's words and replyed her with one word saying:

- "maybe..."

eunsae was trying to avoid looking at her uncle eyes how many times she tryed to avoid her uncle's questions?!.... which he repeated it again and again...

- "eunsae why are avoiding to talk about the camp?"

although eunsae didn't drink anything from her cup of coffee but she kept holding it in her hands like she wanted to hide her feelings in it.... she looked at the cup over and over again and rome was sitting infront of her she looked at him then she said:

- "believe me uncle... there is nothing interesting in the camp... and i promised myself not to talk about it while i'm here in the village..."

- "why?"

eunsae sighed trying to avoid her uncle's questions again while he trying hardly to find out what's wrong with her so she said:

- "because here i'm much happy.. just that's the reason"

- "but i don't believe you"

eunsae thought that she finaly get rid of her uncle's insistence on her after he saw the tears in her eyes more than once but all her trys failed... so she wanted to convince him for the thired time saying:

- "why uncle?"

- "because maybe you are a lier or a cowered..."

eunsae was shocked with uncle's rome words which made her stand up angry and said:

- "me uncle!"

- "yes... because this smile and eyes and the brightness that i saw in the past all of it left you... you are not eunsae that i know anymore... i don't see anything but sadness in your eyes sweet heart..."

eunsae felt that she will collapse but she held herself and said:

- "the military life is so rough uncle... thats all"

rome regret after he told her those harsh words so she smiled and get near her then said:

- "then lets change the subject..."

eunsae didn't get mad from his words because she knew how much he love her and care about her... she nodded agreeing so she said:

- " how are vicky and Tia your friends?"

eunsae got back to her memories with her friends... she left them without saying goodbye... she remembered the cafeterea and hyuyoon and min.... so she smiled... it was a true smile so she sighed with the smile on her beautiful face and said:

- "they are fine... actualy vicky got engaged to a man called ray he is my friend and the asistant of the commander..."

- "really... thats a good news... but is that asistant a young man?"

eunsae giggled and said:

- "yes uncle..."

- "and the commander?"

what a word?... which made eunsae stop giggling while she felt her sweat fall from her forhead with nervousness and sadness... minutes passed before she answer... and rome understand everything... eunsae thought that the minutes which passed was enough to make her uncle forget the question which he insisted on it saying:

- "and the commander... is he a young man too?"

eunsae giggled trying to hide what in her heart... she remove the tip of her hair behind her ear to avoid the nervousness which was clear on saying:

- "the commander in the maintenance camp is an old man, but he is a loving sweet person"

rome reached her while she was standing infront of the window avoiding his eyes in bold strong steps... he blocked her way standing between her and the window saying:

- "that is the second time i ask you about your commander and you don't answer..."

she lowered her eyes and said quietly:

- "our commander.... yes.... he's a young man too... i think he's in his late twenties"

- "what is his name?"

eunsae felt bored so she said:

- "uncle... let us stop talking about the camp"

rome didn't want to bother her... specialy that he promised her to not talk about that... but eunsae's eyes avoiding his made him understand everything so he said jokingly:

- "tomorrow i will take you to the mall buying you anything you want..."

eunsae smiled... but she couldn't hide her real feelings....
