Today I saw you with her at the lockers
Like I do from time to time
But this time it was different
It was only me and both of you
And I had nowhere else to look
I was walking straight in your direction
I'm not sure if you saw me
But I saw you slowly lean in to her
Tilting your head with a soft smile
And millenniums seemed to go by
As you slowly held her close and kissed her lips
So gently
And for a moment I felt nothing
As I turned the corner of the hallway
And tried to leave you behind
But your ghost followed me
He still does
He holds my hand and says what he means
He kisses me the way you kiss her
He is still the late-May version of you
The one who looked at me the way you now look at her
And I ask him to leave but he doesn't
I hide from him but he still finds me
I fight with him to leave my mind
As I try to fall asleep
I'd like to believe I have gotten over you
But the ghost of you is a different story
