A Wish That Will Never Come True

Sometimes I just wish
That you would climb up on to my roof
And tap on my window
I would hastily roll it open
And I would look at you in complete shock
And ask what you are doing here so late
And what you are doing here at all
But you would climb on to my bed
Without a single word
You would look longingly into my eyes
With all the regret and sorrow you have felt
Since you left
Taking me into your arms
As we cry together
And you would save me
Our tears washing away all of our mistakes
Because we have found our way back to each other
We would grow warm in each other's embrace
And sigh in relief
because of how much we missed this
And I would never have to let you go again
