Chapter 30

We were all standing on the outskirts of the village and I was still holding Sasuke.

"Hana, I can carry him back to the village instead," Guy offered.

"That would be great," I said.

I was glad he offered. It would've been a pain to carry him back. Sasuke was an inch taller than I was and weighed much more than me. Guy had more strength than I did, so he had no issue.

Guy slung him over his back and Jiraiya looked at us.

"Alright guys, we'll leave Sasuke in your hands," He said to us.

I noticed Naruto seemed extremely worried about him, so I decided to try and attempt to make him feel less anxious.

"Naruto?" I said.

Naruto looked up at me and I gave him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about Sasuke, okay? Guy and I will get him back to the hospital and make sure he's okay,"

Naruto nodded, but he was still trying to hide how worried he was. I could see through it.

I frowned slightly when I saw he still seemed worried.

Guy then spoke up. "Master Jiraiya?"

"Hm?" Jiraiya looked at him.

"Find Lady Tsunade and bring her back to us," Guy slightly pleaded.

"Don't worry," Naruto spoke up. "You can count on us! We'll have her back in the village in no time,"

Jiraiya chuckled and ruffled Naruto's hair.

Guy's expression changed.

"Naruto, nothing impresses me more than guts," He grinned. "So let me give you something special. Lee got stronger with this,"

"Really?!" Naruto shouted. "What?! What is it?!"

Guy continued to grin and pulled out a green jumpsuit just like his out of his pocket. "Check it out!"

Jiraiya grimaced seeing the jumpsuit and I sweat dropped at how the atmosphere changed completely and how Guy was trying to get another person to wear that.

"Amazing!" Naruto marveled at the suit, his eyes sparkling.

"I remember when Guy gave me a suit for my birthday years ago," I muttered, grimacing at the memory.

"I remember that too," Jiraiya said quietly. "What did you ever do with that suit?"

"Let's just say I gave it back to him without him knowing," I replied.

When Guy's birthday party happened years ago as well, I gifted it back to him. He still doesn't know to this day. He was very ecstatic about it when he saw it. He gave me a bone-crushing hug and claimed that it was the best gift he's ever gotten.

The jumpsuit moved with the breeze as Guy held it. "It's breathable, maintains moisture, and offers complete freedom of movement, all in one sweet package!"

Naruto was still marveling over the jumpsuit.

"If you wear it while you train, you'll notice the difference immediately. They really grow on you. Pretty soon, you'll be wearing them all the time. Just like Lee, I've got a bit of a thing for them myself!" Guy continued.

I internally cringed at the thought of Naruto wearing that jumpsuit and I could tell Jiraiya was thinking the same thing.

Guy gave his signature smile and thumbs up, then Naruto accepted it. I just sighed at the entire thing.

After that, we said our goodbyes and left.

"So how's Kakashi?" I ask Guy as we walked to the hospital.

"He still hasn't woken up," Guy replied.

I couldn't help but be worried about him. Especially since Itachi used his infamous jutsu on him.

"He'll be okay though," Guy said, trying to reassure me. "He's strong you know. His chakra is just overused,"

"I know," I replied. "I just can't help but worry. Since he's all I have left of Team Minato,"

Guy nodded, understanding why I get so worried about him. We got to the hospital and the nurse immediately rushed over to us, slinging Sasuke on her shoulder. She rushed off to a room and as soon as we turned around, Sakura was right there.

I was a bit startled.

"What happened to him?!" She demanded.

"Uh..." I trail off, looking over at Guy for help.

I didn't know whether or not it was a good idea to tell her. I was unaware if she knew or not.

Guy gave me a look as if he was asking me why was I putting him on the spot like that.

"He was injured on a mission," Guy answered carefully. "But Naruto and Master Jiraiya will be bringing someone who can heal him,"

She nodded and walked down the hall to see him.

Guy and I let out the breath we didn't know we were holding.

"Uh, sorry for putting you on the spot like that," I said sheepishly. "You know I'm not good with these kinds of situations,"

Guy sighed. "Well, I'm glad that's over with. Now we just wait till Lady Tsunade comes back."

Guy and I parted ways after that and I decided to go visit Kakashi before I went home. As I walked to his apartment, I couldn't help but think about all of the things that were stressing me out. Knowing that I will have to tell Naruto the truth myself eventually, not knowing when to tell him, and the ninjas that were still after me.

With everything going on now, I didn't know how to go about anything.

I broke out of my thoughts when I got to Kakashi's apartment. I walked inside and saw that he was still unconscious in his bedroom.

I sat down on the bed, looking at him with worry. I hoped to god that nothing would ever happen to him. I can't handle another huge loss like that. I had to watch Obito die right in front of me, and then I had to watch Rin walk directly into his lightning blade.

I quickly wiped the tear that was threatening to fall.

I won't let anything happen to him. He's the closest friend I had that shares my pain. Even if we fell off for years, it never changed that I still cared for him deep down. During the years when we didn't talk, I still would've been there in a heartbeat if something happened to him.

I stood up off the bed and took one last look at Kakashi before leaving. I needed to train some more on my own so I could get stronger if I plan to try and protect everyone I care for right now.
