It's Tuesday now and I'm currently on the bus with Esther and River. We're just about to get to school.

"This first quarter went by so quick" Esther turns off her music.

"Yeah. It seems like just yesterday, I met you guys" River says.

"Time flies by when you're having-" I pause.

"-Homework" Esther says.

I laugh. So does River.

"Mega amounts of it" I say.

"Cmon, it hasn't been that bad. You two are overreacting" River says.

"No homework would be so much better" I say.

"But the world wants all us kids to suffer in knowledge" Esther says.

"Thanks for caring about our feelings, world. You're totally considerate of them" I say sarcastically.

"When do you even think we will get the new schedule?" River asks.

"Sometime this week. Next quarter starts next week so" Esther says.

"I'm just hoping and praying I don't have to do health class next quarter. I'm not ready yet" I say.

"None of us are. Especially knowing that Mr. Jackson is going to be the one teaching it" Esther says.

"Great. Now you guys got me worried too" River says.

We get off the bus and walk to the school.

"Yeah, it should really be someone else teaching that class. Mr. Jackson makes us uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure we speak for everyone on that" Esther says.

"Tracy really seems to take a liking to him though. I non-stop see her talking to him most of the times I get to gym class" I say.

"Maybe they're a thing or something like that" Esther says.

"That sure would be a scandal" River says.

"Gross. Tracy may be a bitch, but I don't think she would be that dirty to cheat on her boyfriend with the gym teacher" I say.

"Plus, Mr. Jackson doesn't seem like a pervert" River says.

"People could surprise you" Esther says.

"I doubt it would be in that way, though" I say.

"I'm just saying" Esther shrugs her shoulders.

"You have a very, very, very weird mind" I say.

"And yet, you're my best friend" Esther says.

"Fair point" I say.

We get inside and Eli is waiting for us at the stairs.

"Today's the day" He holds out his new schedule for us to see.

"Shit. You have health class?" I say.

"Yes, unfortunately. My innocence is officially going to be taken from me" Eli says.

"Dude, your innocence was taken from you a long time ago" Esther says.

"If you already got your schedule, then where are ours?" River asks.

"They're still passing them around. I don't know how many people have gotten them yet" Eli says.
