Part 47

Betty's P.O.V

It's been a month since Charles was born and life couldn't be any better.
Jughead had stayed with us for a month instead of working since he wanted to help out.

I just put Charles to sleep again and I was on my way back to bed. It was currently 5:30 am and Charles woke up because he wanted to be held.

When I entered the room I took off my slipper and got into bed. I wrapped my arms around Jughead and fell asleep again.

It was now an hour later and Charles is wide awake. Jughead is taking a shower while I'm making breakfast. Charles is in his swing and being a good boy for mom.

Once Jughead got out of the shower he came into the kitchen.

J-Morning

B-Morning

He went up to Charles and looked at him

J-And good morning to you too Charles.

Charles gave him a gummy smile before he picked him up. I finished serving the plates and we sat down and ate.

While we are there was a knock on the door and Jughead went to answer it. Sweet Pea and Fangs came walking in

SP-Morning

B-Morning

They came up to me and began to talk to Charles.

J-I'm seeing that in this past month my son is famous now huh

F-Don't be jealous Jughead, he is adorable isn't he

Fangs was holding Charles at the moment

SP-Ready to come back to work boss?

J-Since when haven't I've been ready?

We all then began to laugh

Jughead's P.O.V

J-Are you sure your going to be fine alone?

B-Yes Jug I will. If I need something I'll come get you okay?

J-Okay

I kissed Betty on the lips and then looked down at our son who was sleeping in her arms

J-Be a good boy for mom while dad is gone okay?

I kissed his forehead before heading out. My dad was handling everything with paperwork while I was with my family.

Things have been quiet which sometimes can be good or bad. The ghoulies have stayed in their part of their land, probably because they lost there king.

I was currently going to the basement to pay Penny and Tall Boy a visit. I told them about what happened to Hal and the expression I got from them was the one I expected in the first place.

When we reached the bottom of the stairs Penny was sitting there.

J-So Penny, how does it feel now?

She then began to talk but was mumbled since her mouth was tape shut. I nodded to one of the serpents and they took it off.

P-It isn't going to stay this way Jonesy. Don't think you've won so easily.

J-What is going to happen though? Hal is dead you are here along with Tall Boy. I don't think anyone will be capable of leading the ghoulies since they don't even know what the hell to do right

P-Just wait Jughead you don't know what is going to hit you next

J-From what I've seen, your ghoulies seem afraid since they haven't even step a foot around here

I then put tape on her mouth and headed back upstairs.

I checked the time and it was 5:30. I decided to wrap things up and head upstairs and see my family. Once I arrived I saw Betty in the kitchen while Charles was sleeping in his swing.

J-Hey

B-Hey

I went up to her and gave her a kiss

J-Things go well?

B-They did thankfully

J-Here let me finish this for you

I took her spot while she sat in the counter

B-How was the first day back?

J-It wasn't that bad. Were you able to do school work?

B-I did. I also was able to clean our room since it's been a mess

I finished the food and put them on the plates. I placed them down on the table and just then Charles began to cry.

I went towards him and picked him up. I bounced him and he slowly calmed down.

When I tried to put him down he began to fuzz again

B-I guess someone also has missed you

J-Of course he did

Betty was laying in bed and I was getting out of the bathroom. Someone then came and banged hard on our door

What the hell

Charles then began to cry and I saw Betty going to get him while I went to open the door.

When I opened the door I was met with a beaten Fangs and my dad

J-What the hell happened

Fp-It was Penny. We had traitors. She and Tall Boy escaped.......
