"I told you, Y/N," Oko said as he kicked a pebble on the ground. "I'm... I'm a failure."

"No you're not. You guys tried your best summoning a demon." I placed a hand on his back. "Don't worry, you'll get them next time. Besides, you already know a lot about occult than anyone else."

He shrugged. "I-I'm still not so sure, Y/N..."

"Oko. Some people can see ghosts, some can't. Some can talk to spirits, and some can't. When there's a will, there's a way. Believe in yourself." I encouraged.

The corners of his lips curved up a little. "Thanks... Y/N."

I shaked my head. "There's no need to thank me. You're my friend, and I'll help you in any way I can." I smiled back, happy that I made him smile.

"Y/N, there you are!" Uekiya Engeika ran towards me, then looked at Oko. "Hi too, Oko."

He gave him a slight nod.

"What's shakin' bacon?" I asked her.

"The girls and I are looking all over for you, we have something to show you in the garden!" She squealed.

"What is it?"

She turned to Oko. "Can I borrow her for a while?"

"S-sure." Oko nodded.

Uekiya thanked him, then held my hand. "Come on!"

"This won't be long, alright? I'll be back!" I told him while patting his shoulder, then went on my way, my shoulder slightly brushed against his.

Oko's P.O.V.

I went stiff after that small contact, and stared at the spot where Y/N had been standing earlier.

The place she touched me was feeling weird.

"What's this...?" I asked myself.

I held my shoulder as I went my way upstairs, to my good friend Geiju Tsuka's club room. Good thing he's the only one there.

I knocked on the door, then peeked inside. "Can I come in?"

"Yes," He placed the palette and brushes down on one of the boxes. "What brings you here?"

"I have to talk to you about something." I sighed, sitting on a box that I know is stable.

"Fire away." He removed his apron then hung it on a hook. "Is it serious?"

I hung my head. "I-I don't... know, honestly... it's... it's about... someone."

"And who is this someone you speak of?" Geiju sat down on a box in front of me.

"Someone very close to me, a-and I don't really know why I'm feeling something whenever this person is around me..." my voice trailed off.

He looked at me with an unimpressed look on his face. "Please tell me you aren't talking about me."

I grabbed a crumpled piece of paper on the floor then threw it at him jokingly. "Hell no."

We chuckled slightly.

"Seriously though, who is it?" He asked.

I clutched my book tightly. "Y-Y/N. I feel like... I feel strange. I've never felt this way before."
