9. Plans

"Nice try." Storm said and chuckled. Somehow I was awake and saw what she was seeing. I held out my arm and decreased the powers of his energy blasts that he kept throwing at me and Cisco. This meta seemed to have control over energy. "Hey, Storm, I need you on this. You can do it!" Cisco said through the comms he tried to blast the meta with his vibes. "Where is Barry?" I asked through the comms and then dogded the energy blasts.

The next energy blast hit me and I crashed into something. I got up, looked at the meta that trashed his surroundings and then held out my arm in his direction. He lifted up in the air and the energy blasts from his hands decreased up until they were gone. "Storm! Storm!" I ignored Cisco and set the man down on the ground. Cisco cuffed the meta with the power dampening cuffs, opened a breach and breached him to Iron Heights. I blinked a few times and then looked at Cisco, who opened another breach to Star Labs.

Caitlin, Barry and Harry were there and I looked at Cisco with remorse. "I'm sorry, I couldn't snap out of it." Storm said and Cisco put his goggles down. "It's okay. You got him. That's what matters." He said and for a moment, he smiled at me. I took a deep breath, took completely over and exhaled the air. "Where were you guys?" Cisco asked. "Killer Frost and I had a little problem." Caitlin said and sighed. "I was at CCPD doing my day job for once." Cisco and I shared a look before sitting down on the seats before the screens. "Our meta is back in Iron Heights, all thanks to Storm. We should celebrate." Cisco said. "Oh, yeah, we totally should." I retorded sarcastically and chuckled. "This was your first baddie taken down by yourself and you don't want to celebrate it?" Cisco asked. I smiled innocently at him before grinning. "Get the champagne." I said and Cisco laughed before he got off the chair and left the cortex.

"Uh, guys! We have a visitor." Cisco said as entered the cortex again with my mother by his side. I immediately got up from my seat. "Where's Echo? Shouldn't you two be off helping the bad guy to destroy us all?" I spat and Mom only chuckled. "Honey, listen. Echo is hellbent on ripping this team apart to get to you and Barry." I wanted to reply but then I felt a hand on my shoulder and Barry stepped next to me. "What do you know?" He asked and I looked confused up to him. In my opinion, she couldn't be trusted. At all. "Thawne wants Echo to kill you after she successfully made Zoe turn on all of you." I frowned. "How do you know that?" Mom chuckled again. "Echo thinks I'm sleeping while she is in control but that's not true. I can see through her eyes and feel the things she does." I sighed and spoke up. "I suppose that applies to me, too. I can see through Storm's eyes and I saw what she did earlier." I admitted. "What else do you know about Thawne's plans?" Harry asked my mother and she brushed her hands through her hair. "Sometimes he is talking to someone. I- I don't know. She seems familiar but I can't place it. I heard him saying little runner." I frowned. Then I looked to Barry. "A speedster?" I asked and he slightly shrugged. "Possible." He said.

I looked through Storm's eyes as I put a hand on Barry's shoulder and for a moment it looked we were glitching until I saw the house infront of us through a foggy vision. "Is it working?" Barry asked and I took a deep breath and stepped forward. I turned around to Barry and Barry stepped forward to me. "You knew it was working." Storm said and Barry chuckled.

I turned around and took a deep breath. "We're gonna go in and out." I nodded at Barry and then he sped us inside and I sneaked into the kitchen, while Barry was moving with me.

Then he let go of my shoulder and sped through the house. "It's over! Save yourself, Zoe!" Barry yelled and I ran up the stairs and sighed when I saw Iris. Then Barry and I laughed, clearly finding the whole situation funnier than it should be while Iris looked confused. "You guys are unbelievable." Iris said and Barry and I chuckled. "What was the plan anyway?" She asked and Barry and I shared a look. "We were goofing around." I said and took successfully over and grinned. Iris rolled her eyes and chuckled. "Did you drink something?" She asked and I pouted. "I wanted to but everyone went home and someone here can't drink anymore." I said.

Suddenly, I felt dizzy and stumbled against the doorframe. "Zoe? Storm?" Barry asked, concern filling his voice. "What's happening?" Iris' voice seemed far away and I felt my knees give in but before I crashed on the ground I was swept off my feet and then felt the wind in my face.

"Barry?" I asked and I looked up to the man while he was setting me down on a bed. After a while, I felt much better and sat up. I shook my head and looked up to Barry. We were back at Star Labs and I was sitting on the bed in the medical room.

"I'm fine. I- I'm fine." I said and held my head. "Are you sure?" He asked, and I took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes. It just felt dizzy." I said and looked up to Barry's concerned face. "I'm gonna get you home." He said and I nodded, getting up. "Can we just walk, please?" I asked. Barry eyed me concerned before he nodded. "Yeah, sure." He said.

We left Star Labs and Barry walked me to my apartment and brought me inside. When we reached my bedroom I sat down on it. "Are you sure you'll be okay?" Barry asked and he sat down next to me. "I think so, yeah." I whispered.
Then I hugged him and sighed as I snaked my arms around him. "Aww. She feels something." Storm said out loud and I quickly pulled away from Barry and cleared my throat. "Um, I'm- I'm sorry. She- um, is clearly- crazy. Yeah." I stuttered and looked down.

"Zoe?" Barry asked, his voice was quiet and somewhat his tone was softer. "If you need to say something, I'll listen." He said and I looked up to him again. Something in his eyes changed. "Actually, there is something I've been meaning to-" I started but I cut off by Storm as she took over, "She's saying that she has feelings for you!" She said and when I realized what she just said I looked shocked at Barry before I felt her taking over again. "You're welcome, both of you." She said.
