34. Knowledge

I woke up with a gasp on a bed in Star Labs and sat up quickly as my memories came back to me. "Damnit!" I screamed and got up from the bed. I stumbled towards the doorframe and quickly got a hold of it.

I took a deep breath and squeezed my eyes shut before I opened them again. Suddenly, an alarm began to drill and a voice message began to play. "Mom, you need to go into Cisco's workshop where you'll find a new and improved suit for you. Then we need you at the Starchives." The voice message ended there. Suddenly, the alarm ended with the message.

I confusingly went into Cisco's workshop where I found a grey leather jacket with black lines running up the sleeves and the bottom part of the jacket. There was also a grey mask, black leather pants and black shoes.

I watched the suit in awe before I quickly tried it on and smiled afterwards when it fit perfectly.

Then I teleported myself to the Starchives and looked around in panic when I saw Nora at a wall, unconscious. "Nora!" I yelled before rushing to her side. I examined her for any wounds but there was none.

I sighed in relief when I saw that she was still breathing. "I'll make this right." I whispered and pressed a kiss on her forehead before I got on my feet.

I felt rage coursing through my veins as I walked out of the Starchives. It didn't take me long to find the team and Mania. "Ooh, mama bear is angry." I heard her say.

I saw orange lightning racing around and icicles coming from Frosts palms. As I rose into the air, Mania suddenly had a panic look on her face and continued to dogde Frosts icicles.

Storm and I shared the body as my eyes began to switch from blue to silver. "You're never going to hurt my daughter ever again!" I yelled as I flashed down towards Mania. Suddenly, an icicle embedded itself in her chest and she screamed out in pain. I kicked her in the chest which made her fall to the ground, pulled out the icicle and thrusted it in her shoulder to the ground.

Then an orb like object rose in her palm and she used it to hit me in the chest. I gasped as I felt a weird pain immediately growing stronger.

Suddenly I was kicked in the stomach and I flew through the air before I hit a tree. I groaned from all the pain and got up before I looked to the team.

Suddenly, many things happened at once. Barry pushed her against her tree, Frost put a big icicle in her thigh what made her let out a piercing scream and then Nora came racing out of the Starchives and threatening to end Mania's life with her phasing hand at Mania's chest. "Nora! No." I yelled as I struggled to get up.

"Yeah, Nora. Don't. I mean, Lia wouldn't approve of what you're doing and someone else even less... oh, yeah, I know. I know everything." Mania said and I furrowed my eyebrows. The look on Nora's face changed and she let Mania go. "Don't you mention Lia!" Nora spat before she stepped away from her.

"You know nothing." I heard Nora's whisper before she raced over to me and helped me up.

Barry, Nora and I were back in our apartment and when I saw Nora sitting on the couch I slowly walkedg towards her. "Who is Lia?" I asked Nora as I sat down next to her. "My- my best friend. She worked with me at CCPD. God, I've known her for such a long time." Nora answered with a sad look on her face and a quiet voice. "She was the first one that knew I had powers." Nora then smiled.

"God, I see so much of Barry in you..." I whispered and then suddenly, she threw her arms around me. I chuckled before hugging her back. "I love you, Mom." She said in a low voice and I looked to Barry.

He smiled at me and nodded his head before he walked away. "I love you too, Nora. Always." I whispered and closed my eyes when I pressed a kiss on her head.

Later, when Nora was already sleeping I went into the bedroom to see Barry standing at the window. "What are you thinking about?" I lowered my voice before I started to walk towards him. He turned around to me and had a smile on his lips. I could tell that he was somehow happy, even after everything we've been through in the last months. "Us." He said and I furrowed my eyebrows. "Us?" I asked and he nodded his head before looking down.

"Yeah, us. I've been thinking a lot and after all of this is over, I- I want us to be a real family. We could go on a vacation, you know..." He said and I chuckled softly. "Oh yeah? You want to go on a vacation?" I asked with a smile forming on my lips and he nodded. "What about Central City? Who's gonna protect it?" I asked and snaked my arms around his neck. "This city still has Vibe and Killer Frost and Joe..." He whispered and I laughed quietly. "We all could use a break, Barr." I said and he nodded. "Yeah." He answered and let out a frustated sigh. "We're dealing with Mania for months now, and we are nowhere near at defeating her." Barry nodded his head slightly and I looked down. "She'll lose. She'll do a mistake and we will catch her. Okay?" He said and I looked up into his eyes. "Barry Allen, always the optimistic hero." I smiled.

[Nora's POV]

"She'll lose. She'll do a mistake and we will catch her. Okay?" I heard Dad say and I leaned against the wall before I heard my mother's voice. "Barry Allen, always the optimistic hero." I smiled to myself before I teleported myself out of the building and travelled to 2049.

Again, rage I didn't even knew I had was building up inside me as I raced towards Iron Heights. I teleported myself into the building and when I stood infront of Thawne, I felt my eyes flash silver.

"You killed my grandmother?" He turned around to me and raised an eyebrow. "You've got to be a little more specific than that." He said calmly. "Did you or did you not kill my grandmother?" I raised my voice a little bit and flashed my eyes. "I did. I killed them." I frowned and stepped back. "Them?" I whispered. "Nora Allen and Josephine Black." He said and I looked back to him. "B-both of them? I've been coming here for so long and you didn't think to tell me that?" I asked. He stayed quiet.

"I don't trust you anymore." I said and he stepped forward to the glass front. "Have I not given you everything? A chance to travel back in time and meet the father you never knew. To run with him. To run with the Flash. To get to know... Storm. To learn from them both. I showed you how to use your powers. How to use both sides and keep your inner Storm under control. All to help you." He said and tears began stung in my eyes.

"The only person you help is yourself." I answered. "Nora!" He said as I turned my back to him. "Savitar's dead, Mania on the loose. The machine-" He added and I sighed. "They're looking for Cage first thing tomorrow." I said before running back.
