Chapter 15

A few days had passed since then, and it was still summer break. Rikuo had a fever but you had to go back to Kyoto since your father needed you.

Tsuoki and Tsubaki remained at your shrine in Tokyo, keeping it clean and accompanied, and not rundown.

As you arrived at Kyoto, you rushed back to your shrine, sliding the door open hastily, "father!". You only see Hashuu and Yumire, your male and female familiar, "wh-where's father??", you narrowed your brows at them.

Yumire placed her hand on your shoulder, "mistress please calm down, he's fine but he's still in the hospital..".

You couldn't help but widened your eyes after hearing what she said, "h-....hospital...?? wh-wh-who's he with?". "calm down mistress....he's mentally fine yet he's physically not fine, if mistress want to visit your father, allow me to assist you". Hearing that, you quickly nodded your head and grabbed her hand in yours with a hopeful look.

She lead you to the hospital where you last saw your mother, and eventually lead you to a ward.

As you finally approached a familiar name on the door, you hastily slide it open, only to see your dad with a small smile and Ryuji with clearly an annoyed look, but when both of them set their eyes on you, their expression changed, in surprise.

"dear? What are you doing here?", your father asked you. You quickly rushed to his side and enveloped him in a tight hug while crying for the nth time of the day. "you got me worried", you cried. Ryuji shook his head in disbelief, "I could've sworn that I told your stupid yokais that your father was fine".

"Baka-Ryuji! He's not!", you pulled away from the hug and frowned a bit, "please let me heal you". Your father chuckled and smiled, "I'm just fine though~", he tried to ease you but you weren't convinced. You switched your gaze directly to your father and revealed your irresistible pout along with your puppy eyes, "please let me heal you, I don't like the fact that you have to stay in the hospital...".

Your father couldn't help but laughed, "fine then".

So you healed your father as a bright (f/c) shone from your fingertips, he only fell from the stairs, which he ended up in a cast.

"papa, how did you end up falling from the stairs though?".

"you do know that the term Yama in Yamazakura means mountain right? And you do know we live in the mountains right? And also you do know that I'm a VERY clumsy, right? Your mother still loved me despite my weird traits..... well I'm glad that my clumsiness trait didn't go to you", he squeezed your hand.

Giggling at his answer, you nodded your head as your ponytail jumped at the motion, before turning your head slightly to look at Ryuji. "Ryuji-kun, thank you for being here and keeping my father company", you smiled sweetly at him. In response, he rolled his eyes and looked away as he crossed his arms while a tint of pink was shown on his cheeks.

"oh, right, now that you're here, tell me all about what happened in Tokyo...anything interesting?", your father raise his eyebrow at you. "actually papa, did you know about the famous Nura clan?", you grinned up at him.

He chuckled, "my my and so you've finally met karasu-tengu?".

You nodded your head excitedly and smiled sweetly, "I also met his three children, they are really tall". Your father nodded his head, "good, at least they treated you well.... So what about...guys?", his tone turned a bit serious, "did you meet any guys that disturbed you? Cu'z if there is, I'll murder them for you, I will not let some guy take my lovely daughter away from me", he announced in a protective tone as he held both your hands in his.

You stopped to think for a while, but before you could answer, Ryuji beat you to it, by replying, "you wouldn't believe it, if I said your daughter here is actually being chased by different guys...especially yokai", he grimaced.

Your father looked at Ryuji, "most of the time, I wouldn't agree about what you say, but I noticed it ever since (name) here reached the age of 5, children flocked around her, and when she was in middle school, she always got in danger by some....spiritual things, hence the reason why the Yamazakura family decide to need the Keikain's help on this... do you possibly know why, Ryuji?".

"actually a long time ago, which was approximately 400 years ago, the sacred princess of that time was Yohime, she was the most attractive and beautiful princess, she was said to be a God's gift because of her power to cure all types of disease. However the Princess's power were abused by her father to get money, and we the Keikains were told to protect Yohime, since her liver were wanted by yokai and ayakashi....... Oddly, it's nearly the same case as your daughter here, I didn't know how it connected though", Ryuji furrowed his brows together thinking about it.

"liver? Are you saying that my daughter is in danger?", your father lightly gasped. "all the more reason why I am here, to protect your daughter", Ryuji smirked triumphantly, but then he grimaced, "what I don't like about it is that the Yamazakura shrine reeks with yokais, both in Tokyo and Kyoto".

You puffed out your cheeks and rolled your eyes, "yokais are friendly, you know".

"they are not", he glared at you.

"they are", you countered back.

"they are not", he continued to glare at you.

"they are friendly and you just don't want to agree with me because I'm right", you continued to pursue.

"fine fine fine", he growled as he looked away from your piercing yet attractive stare, "but just so you know, some of the yokais are bad and dangerous".

You only smiled.
