43 - The Snap

The Avengers and Guardians were stuck on Titan, unable to leave.

"What are we going to do now?" Hannah asked.

"I don't know," Tony said. "What will happen next, we'll figure it out. I promise."

Hannah took a deep breath and turned around.

She saw Quill not too far behind her.

Instead of walking over to him, she walked to the steps and sat down. He joined her.

"Hi," Quill said.

"Hi," she said.

"What happened to our family after I disappeared?" Peter asked.

"We all thought you were dead," Hannah said. "We have no idea what happened to you. They felt it was easier to believe that you were gone then you being somewhere out there."

"Your dad? He got married."

"Yeah," Hannah confirmed. 

"I would really like to meet your mom," Peter said.

"You can't," Hannah said.

"What? Why?"

Hannah shook her head as she bit her lip. 

"She's gone," she said. "She - she died."

"Oh," Peter said. "I'm sorry."

"It wasn't your fault," Hannah said, looking away. She made sure that no one was able to see her expression. 

The Avengers and Guardians were unaware of what happened on Earth. Hannah stood up, sensing something happened. 

"Hannah?" Tony said.

the remaining members of the Guardians and Avengers collect themselves - Mantis props up Star-Lord, Spider-Man helps Tony to his feet, Drax and Nebula manage to limp over on their own.

"Something is happening," she said, taking a few steps forward, looking up at the sky. "Something terrible."

"She is right," Mantis said. Everyone turned to Mantis. 

Mantis then disintegrates into ashes.

"Quill?" Drax said as he dissolved. 

Quill stared I horror.

"Steady, Quill," Tony said. 

"Peter?" Hannah said. 

"Aw, man," Quill said as he gets disintegrated into ashes.

Dr. Strange turned to Tony and Hannah. 

"Tony, there was no other way," Dr. Strange said before he disintegrated.

"Mr. Stark? Hannah? I don't feel so good..." Peter said.

"No," Hannah said. "Peter... no, please."

Tony tried to be calm, his voice shaking as he looked at Peter in terror.

"You're all right," Peter said.

"Peter," Hannah said, "Peter, you'll be okay."

"I don't know what's - I don't know what's happening," Peter stumbled and was terrified. He fell into Tony's arms, clutching him tightly and crying. "Save me, save me! I don't wanna go. I don't wanna go... I'm sorry."

Peter disintegrated into ashes in Tony's arms.

Hannah covered her mouth and tried to stop herself from crying. 

"He did it," Nebula said to Tony and Hanna. 

"You're not going to disintegrate, are you?" Tony asked Hannah.

She shook her head.

"No," she said. 

Hannah sat next to Tony. 

"What are we going to do now?" Hannah asked.

"I - I don't know," he said. "We'll - we'll figure it out."

Tony mourned silently at their failure it caused. Tony placed His hand's over Hannah's and held onto it.
