Family

"My sweet..." He whispered shakily in my ear as he embraced me. I couldn't formulate any words. Ten years of hurt and pain was pouring out like a thunderstorm with no end in sigh. I kept trying to hug him tighter to me. I had dreamed about him over and over. My mind never gave him up and now I knew why. This feeling that was taking over me was pure love. I couldn't believe I've ever hugged Sebastian and felt like he was my dad. This connection that sent sparks throughout my body was something different. Come to think of it..I don't think I ever hugged Sebastian in my entire life. This was something new to me..

I pulled back and looked at him through blurry eyes, seeing that his was just as puffy as mine, if not more. His hands cupped my face and his thumbs wiped my tears away, although it was useless.

"You are so beautiful..more beautiful than I could ever imagine..."He whispered as he looked me over before pressing our foreheads together.

"I can't b-believe you're real..." I croaked before wiping my face with my sleeve. He smiled and chuckled happily and kissing the top of my forehead, sending shock waves through out my bones. Just then we were approached by Elizabeth and Joel who was looking at my dad in wonder and interest. Dad turned and smiled at Elizabeth Rose who pulled him into a tight hug. Although he was reluctant to let go of me.

"Elizabeth...my dear. Thank you so much for bringing him home" Dad said genuinely to her and I saw her hug him a bit closer before they broke apart. He then put his arm around my shoulder and held me close, not intending on letting me go. I was tall but I was easily resting into his shoulder.

"We made a promise Uncle Chris.. to never give up on finding him. I'm just glad he's home and back to where he belongs" Elizabeth sounded relieved and very satisfied with herself. As she should be. She did a brave thing coming to get me by herself knowing that she was putting herself at risk. She was a very strong woman.

"And who is this?" Dad asked as he looked at Joel who went wide eyed for a moment. Joel knew that my dad was a vampire and knew that he was the better version of myself. Joel had never really been around Sebastian and Ashley all that much before he knew what they were, so being near vampires and knowing is very new to him.

I laughed a bit at his response.

"Dad this is my best friend Joel...he has been helping me cope with things. He's the only human to ever know about what I was. He decided to come with us to make sure I was safe" I explained and dad nodded before reaching his hand out to Joel who was almost robotic as he shook hands.

"I'd like to thank you Joel...for taking care of my son. I do appreciate it very much and you are very much welcome to my home and family" Dad ended the shake gracefully and Joel seemed a bit more comfortable knowing that my dad was not intending on hurting him in any type of way.

"He has made quiet an impact on me sir...I couldn't just walk away knowing all that he was going through" My heart was melted by his choice in words. Elizabeth mock punched Joel's shoulder before picking up her bags.

"Let's get this show on the road. I'd like to say hi to Uncle Kade before going home to see my children" I had forgotten that Elizabeth had a family of her own. And I had failed to realize that I was one parent short. Where was my mom? Surely he would've have been here knowing that his long lost son had been found and was returning home. Dad picked up my bag and slung it over my shoulder. Joel did the same with his own bag.

"Wait..does mom know I'm here?" I asked while looking at both dad and Elizabeth. He seemed happy and shocked that I had referred to Kade as mom. But it just came naturally to me. Dad touched my cheek and smiled sweetly at me.
