The next morning Callie woke up the sounds of sirens and the sound of pounding on the door. Callie groggily walked downstairs and opened the door revealing Sheriff Minetta.

" I have a warrant to search your house," Sheriff Minetta said he showed his badge.

" At not even 6 am?" Callie asked as she rubbed her eyes.

" I have every right to believe you are hiding Archie Andrews," Sheriff Minetta argued as he barged right passed her. " He's an escaped convict, highly dangerous." A dog passed her and began to sniff around the room.

"Why would a highly dangerous convict hide in his own home?" Callie asked as she crossed her arms.

" Ms. Andrews," a voice said, she turned her head to see Mr. Lodge standing at her door. " Your brother isn't the brightest, I have every right to suspect that he is hiding here and that you are hiding him."

" I don't know where my brother is," Callie said, eyes narrowing.

" Where were you at the time of the breakout?" Sheriff Minetta asked her.

" I was in the garage studying," Callie answered.

" I have every right to suspect your lying to me," Mr. Lodge growled. A hand landed on Callie, and pulled her back, her dad walked forward.

" If you dig your claws into another one my kids, not enough money in the world would save you," Dad warned. " Finish your search and get out my house."

" I would like to talk to your daughter alone," Mr. Lodge requested.

" No way," Dad denied.

" It's fine Dad," Callie assured him. " I am my mother's daughter, I can hold my ground against monsters." Fred looked at her carefully before walking towards the kitchen.

" I am not monster Callie Andrews," Mr. Lodge said.

" Strong words coming from a man that placed a false murder trial on my brother and threw him into juvie," Callie said.

" It was not false," Mr. Lodge denied.

" I know it was false, cause Archie came to me that night," Callie stated. " How he was told to walk away, and when he got far enough he heard the gunshot."

" I'm pretty sure that was just a fib," Hiram scoffed.

" I do not lie to my twin and my twin does not lie to me," Callie said. " If he did, I would know, and he was not lying." A dog barked at the top of a room at a door.

" So, he's not hiding here?" Hiram questioned.

" Archie lived here for the past 16 years, of course, there will be scents of Archie in his room and this whole house," Callie said.

" Archie escaped and Warden Norton is dead," Hiram told her.

" Dead?" Callie asked.

" Killed himself last night," Hiram informed. " Found with blue lips."

" And should I suspect that you have something to do with his death?" Callie asked as she scanned the man's face for answers.

" I would be careful who you point the finger at," Hiram warned. " From this point forward I will be watching your every move Ms. Andrews. I will not make the same mistakes the Ghoulies, and Nick St. Clair made." He then left the house. Soon all the dogs left the house and Callie slammed the door shut.

" Should I be worried?" Dad asked as he walked up and handed her a cup of tea.

" Thanks," Callie breathed. " You don't have to be worried, I got my family and friends, and not to mention the Serpents."
