Lin crumpled up another piece of notebook paper as he sipped at his coffee.

"Let's see...mom, dad...P.R..." Lin mumbled to himself, pacing.

"Hello?" Pippa called, setting the bottle of orange juice on the countertop.

Lin looked over at the door as if Pippa was standing there, and not in the kitchen. "Hey! Up here!" He called.

Pippa smiled to herself. "Hey." She spoke as she climbed the stairs. "I got some orange juice for smoothies, if--" Pippa stopped when she saw all of the balls of paper surrounding Lin's pacing path. "What are you doing?"

"Writing my freaking Tony's speech."

Pippa scoffed.

"What?" Lin turned around, crossing his arms.

"You're stressing about your speech?" Pippa asked. "You wrote an almost three hour rap musical about the founding fathers!"

Lin sighed. "Speeches aren't acting, Pippa."

"I know that, Lin." Pippa shook her head. "Whatever you come up with will be beautiful. Don't worry about it, okay?"

"If it is bad, then--"

"No, none of that. Give it a rest at least for now."

Lin threw his notepad onto the bed. "Fine."

...We chase the melodies that seem to find us until they’re finished songs and start to play. When senseless acts of tragedy remind us that nothing here is promised, not one day. This show is proof that history remembers we lived through times when hate and fear seemed stronger; We rise and fall and light from dying embers, remembrances that hope and love last longer And love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love cannot be killed or swept aside. I sing Vanessa’s symphony, Eliza tells her story Now fill the world with music [and] love.
