considering who the two people were, panda express was the perfect first date.
they went in and got takeout. according to brandon, the food was to be eaten at the surprise, which naomi still didn't know about.
"brandon, we've been driving for 76 centuries and this food smells good. i don't know how much longer i'm going to be able to wait," naomi said, honestly. she looked down at the food in her lap before looking back at brandon.
"we're almost there, omi," brandon replied.
"you said that 10 minutes ago," she responded teasingly.
"i meant what i said."

when they finally did reach the spot, naomi was amazed. it's was a desert kind of setting. they were on a cliff that overlooked the city.
"wow."
that was all naomi managed to say. there was a beautiful sunset in front of them. and yes, while it was extremely cheesy, it was still undeniably adorable.
"do you like it? i figured we could just eat and hang out here for awhile," brandon said. he walked over to naomi and stood right next to her.
"i love it," naomi said, turning to look at him.
"you ready to eat?" brandon asked.
"actually, we need to take pics before the sun fully sets," naomi told the boy, setting her phone against the car. she put it on a timer and stepped back.

brandon and naomi sat on the hood of the car and ate their chinese food while watching the sunset. by the time they'd finished eating the sun had gone away for the night. the two laid back and looked at the sky.
"you're so beautiful, omi," brandon said, not even paying attention to the stars. naomi turned to look at the gorgeous boy.
"keep talking like that brandon, you might just have to mess around and wife me up," she replied, laughing. she shook her head
"maybe," brandon replied, smiling.
their conversations went on for hours, about anything.
