Trapped.

I was trapped somewhere and I don't know if its real or not. Terrifying. Behind my mind I heard muffled voices, cold fingers touching my arms. A distant shouts. Then in a swift, my mind was sucked into numbness.

Perhaps I would sleep, would never felt pain? Loneliness?

Then the sensation of your body... dragged from dark tunnel—I inhaled deeply when my lungs opened, taking in as much air.

I coughed hard.

Slowly my eyes cracked open but unfocused. I absorbed the place I was in; a plain varnish room—unfamiliar.

Shifting to my side, my body was sore all over; cramps on my knees, dry throat and pain on my lower stomach. Groaning, I closed my eyes as I coughed loudly.

Where am I?

The incessant sound of machine at my sides told me I'm connected to it. I grimaced when I felt pinch of pain on both wrist and feet. Suddenly, the door burst, a woman wearing a nurse clothes, smiled at me. Unconsciously, my nerves became alert.

"Hi... I'm Annie. I'm your personal nurse."

Personal nurse?

For a moment I just stared at her. Her voice was smooth, like feather touching your skin. You can trust her by hearing the texture of her voice.

Practiced sympathy.

"Water..." I said in hoarse whisper. She adjusted the bed without moving my body, then a glass of water dab my lips.

She jotted down something. With tender smile, Annie touched my arms. I stiffened.

"I'll call doctor Harris, okay?" I remained silent. She walked towards the door. My eyes glued to her shoes making weird noises in my ears.

Tap!

Tap!

Tap!

Heeeelp! Pleeeease!

Suddenly, I jolted upward. I gasped, pain spread from my head to my chest. My breathe coming into split. Then I remembered everything. Everything that happened. My heart thudded in my ears. Memories by memories flooded back.

Eric...

His face surfaced at the front of my head.

I heard the spiking sound of the monitor machine beside me as my eyes blurred.

Brown eyes stared...

Trying to hold my consciousness, a bubble of scream formed, but it never came out. A loud bang was heard from somewhere.

"Hold her still!"

"Her fever is back!"

Everything in my senses dulled. All I wanted was to scream... I lost control, tremors erupted in my body.

Then nothing. Silence.

In my lucid dream, I thought I heard him. Eric? He was there with me. He held my hands.

I thought I saw him kissed me.

At the window, at night, I  thought I saw him standing there. The moon's pale light casting a shadow on his face. My heart skip a beat when his face looked at me. Sadness. Tired. Then he left, shadow blurred.
