Alexandra's POV
"Alex..."
I opened my eyes and blinked for twice.
White ceiling and a person are the first I saw.
"Where am I?" I asked.
I must be at the clinic. Uh, what happened?
I turn my head to see the other corners of the room.
The setting around me is different. And the scent to the room is different too.
Does the mansion is being renovated? What...? I'm finally at the mansion?
I immediately sit up.
"Wait! Are you feeling better now?" Kenneth asked.
"Yes. Where is Jamaicah?" I asked.
The room looks pretty different. Really- Why did they change it so much?
"We're not at the mansion yet." Kenneth said.
"We are not?" I thought we were.
I then saw my hand that Kenneth was holding.
Kenneth saw what I see so he immediately let go off my hand.
I then saw a ruby that I am holding.
"I'm sorry... I was holding your hands so that the ruby won't fall from your hands." –Kenneth.
"What is this? Where are we?" I ask.
"We're at the castle." He said.
The castle...? I never thought that I can enter this place but-
"I remember Steven and Cindy told me that I can't enter here this easy." I said.
I even remember that they told me that once I enter here without an emblem just like what they have, I will be burn and turn into dust. Even worthy enchanters can't enter here without an emblem.
"They are right. You can't." He said.
"Then why am I here?"
"That ruby allowed you to enter here."
This ruby...? The ruby that I behold...?
"What is this?"
"That is the ruby of exemptions. You can enter the castle with that ruby instead of an emblem. But that ruby gives you a limited time to wander the castle. Once your time is almost running out, you have to leave immediately the castle or else, you will be burn into ash. And you can come back after thirty minutes." He said.
"I see. Then when will I leave the castle?"
"Hmm... The ruby can give someone seven days of exemption."
"Wow..." I said.
"And one more thing, you should not drop that ruby from your hands or else you'll be burned."
"Okay... But where are Kent and the others?"
"They also wander around the castle."
"I see..." I said.
"Do you like to wander for a while around the castle?"
"Sure... I loved to."
"Then let's go." He said.
