Hank and I were just talking but Connor surprised us when he quickly sat up breathing heavily. We had just arrived back at the station. We had to go straight to Captain Fowler. We walked in, Connor looking almost distraught. "Your off the case." My jaw almost hit the ground. "The FBI is taking over." Connor looked at Hank and I, as we both said 'what' in unison. "But were onto something. We... we just need more time. I'm sure we can-" Hank was cut off. My ears started ringing. There gonna take Connor away. He's gonna have to go back to CyberLife, since his 'mission' was basically over. I zoned out the conversation entirely, not wanting to believe that it could be true. I could hear him saying Connor was going back to CyberLife. I stormed out. "Excuse me, Captain." I felt tears welling in my eyes. This can't actually be happening. If Connor was a normal Android, I'd fucking buy him so we- so he could live a normal life. Away from all of this, but he wasn't and I couldn't do what I really wanted to do. I sat on a chair in front of Hank's cubical. They followed soon after. Hank leaning forward on his desk and Connor coming a few moments after, sitting on Hank's desk. "We can't just give up like that." Connor said loudly. He was frustrated, and I could see Hank was too. "I know we could have solved this case!" He shook his head in dissatisfaction. Hank turned his chair, being in Connor's full view. "So you're going back to CyberLife?" I gripped my hand's tightly. Digging my nails into them, feeling the rage and panic about to over come me. "I have no choice..." Your only an android and they aren't people. At least, that's what society thinks. "I'll be deactivated and analyzed to find out why I failed." My hands began to hurt more and more. "What if we're on the wrong side, Connor?" I looked at Hank quickly. Was he changing his mind about androids. Could he help Markus and the others? "What if we're fighting against people who just wanna be free." People, I had always felt that way about them. Hank leaned forward towards Connor. "When the deviants rise up, there will be chaos. We could've stopped it. But now its too late." My gaze shifted to Connor. "Are you hearing yourself? Like actually hearing yourself?" I threw my beanie on Hanks desk, before running my hand through my hair. "Cant you see that they are trying to run away from us? From the people who created them. They are abused, harassed, sexually and emotionally. The human race asked for this. If we are taken down, it's EXACTLY what we deserve" He was surprised by my outburst. His LED flashing orange only proved my point.

"When you refused to kill that android at Kamski's place. You put yourself in her shoes. You showed empathy, Connor." Hank sounded like a dad talking to his own child, trying to help him understand. "Empathy is a human emotion." Connor looked off into the distance, losing his train of thought. "I don't know why I did it..." I grabbed his hand. In a sense, he was just a child, learning new things. Hank and I had to help lead him down the right path. "I'm not programmed to say things like this, but... I really appropriated working with you. With a little more time, who knows... we might've even become friends" Hank looked surprised for a moment before getting distracted. "Well, well, here comes Perkins, that motherfucker... sure don't waste anytime at the FBI." Connor watched Perkins walked by. "We can't give up. I know the answer is in the evidence we collected. If Perkins takes it, it's all over." He pointed behind himself. "There's no choice! You heard Fowler, we're off the case." Connor quickly got up. "You've got to help me, Lieutenant. I need more time so I can find a lead in the evidence we collected. I know the solution is in there!" I knew it was too. It was were he could find Jericho. "Listen Connor" Hank help his hand out in defense but got cut off by him pleading. "If I don't solve this case, CyberLife will destroy me. I can't leave you" He glanced at me. "I can't leave Charlotte." He looked back at Hank, so much passion and worry in his eyes. "Five minutes. It's all I ask." Hank stood up slowly. "Key to the basement in on my desk." He took a few steps away. "get a move on. I can't distract them forever."
