Jared's Point of View

In Jared's not so humble opinion, Evan was out of his mind. And Jared said that to Evan's face, or at least the computer screen that it was on. It had been a day since Evan got Connor's number.

"Evan, I hate to say it, but you're an idiot aren't you?"

"No! Connor isn't that bad, I've texted him."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah." Jared's phone vibrated with a text from an unknown number.

"Ooh, creepy stranger trying to contact me."

"Um, Jared that's–."

"Shut up, Evan."

Unknown: Jared Kleinman?

Cronch: Yeah, who are you

Cronch: I wouldn't be mad if you didn't want to tell me as long as you're hot

Unknown: I bet Evan thinks I'm hot

Unknown: It's Connor

Cronch: Murphy?

SSConCon: Who else?

Cronch: Fuck you

"You gave the freak my phone number?" Evan looked anxious, even through the screen.

"He thinks you might hurt me," Evan said quietly.

"Connor is probably the most despicable person you could choose to be friends with, Evan." Jared couldn't help his protectiveness. He had known Evan since they were kids, and they were each other's only real friend. "Just... don't talk to him again, okay?"

"Alright, Jared, I won't."

Of course, what Jared didn't know was that Connor was in Evan's house already.

Another 'cliffhanger' if you could even call it that
