27. Welcoming Complications (Part One)

Mixx

"Who's my brave boy...you are, you are." I said to Isaiah as I was changing his diaper.

It was 2 in the afternoon and in about an hour, I needed to go with Hazel because she was nervous about bringing home Heaven for the first time. So Jhene and I decided that we would go with her to help and support her. I picked up Isaiah after changing his diaper and went into my room and found Trey fast asleep on the bed. I laid Isaiah in his crib and shook Trey away.

"Trey." I said.

He groaned.

"Trey!" I said getting louder.

"What?" Trey groaned.

"I'm leaving so you have to watch Isaiah until I get back." I said.

"Take him with you." Trey said.

"You are being a real asshole right now. Watch your son and I'll be back in a couple of hours." I said grabbing my keys, giving Isaiah a kiss on the forehead, and heading out the door. I got in my car and headed over to Hazel's house where I met up with Jhene and Hazel waiting for me.

Trey

Mixx left me with Isaiah for the day and didn't even tell me that she was even going anywhere. This was all unexpected. I woke up instantly after Mixx left and looked at Isaiah whose face lit up like a light, when I looked at him. I smiled and walked into the bathroom and washed my face. Then I went over and grabbed Isaiah and walked downstairs with him and placed him in his walker thing. And then I turned on Sesame Street and quietly went on to making me some breakfast. As I was making breakfast, my phone beeped. I went over and saw it was a text message and it made me smile.

Morning :) --Symphony

Hey hru? --Me

Good...now that I'm talking 2 u. --Symphony.

I immediately smiled at what Symphony wrote back. I couldn't believe what was happening to me right now. I was becoming a little school girl crushing over a guy for days.

That's good. What r u doin' 2day? --Me

Idk. I was goin' 2 go on a jog and then relax. Y? --Symphony

Y dn't u come over 2 my house and hang out. --Me

:) that sounds nice. --Symphony

Cool see ya when u get here --Me

That won't be long ;) --Symphony

I didn't reply because I was so excited. Symphony was going come over and I couldn't be happier. I grabbed my food and went back into the living and found Isaiah hyped over Elmo. I swear Elmo was his favorite character on Sesame Street. But that was ok, he was too when I was a kid. It was amazing how fast Isaiah was growing and it had only been 2 months since he was born.

2 hours later, and Isaiah was crying and I couldn't get him to calm down. I fed him, bathed him, changed him, and burped him and nothing seemed to work. I had to put him to sleep and I couldn't figure out how. I was beginning to stress even more and that's when I heard the door bell rang. I opened the door and saw Symphony standing there.

"Hey." I said.

"Hi, is this a bad time?" Symphony questioned.

"Uh no, I just have to put him asleep." I said.

"I can see that it's really difficult." Symphony said.

"Yea." I said.

"Mind if I try?" Symphony asked.

"Uh?" I questioned.

"Just give him to me." Symphony demanded.

I shrugged my shoulders and handed Isaiah over to Symphony. Symphony shook Isaiah and did the ''sshh'' noise and soon enough Isaiah fell asleep. I was pretty amazed about how long it took for him to pass out. Symphony then walked upstairs into his room and walked over to the crib and laid him down.

"Wow." I said. "I gotta say that I'm really impressed."

"I used to babysit back when I was in high school, the woman that I worked for had babies every other year." Symphony said.

"So the woman was a slut then." I said.

Symphony playfully punched me in the arm and I couldn't help but laugh. Then both of us quietly left the room and closed the door behind us.I looked at Symphony and kissed her for a second. I pulled away and then she brought me in closer and wrapped her arms around me deepening the kiss.

"Is there someplace that we can go to have more privacy?" Symphony asked pulling away.

"Uh yea." I said leading the way.

~Hours Later Around 8 pm~

It has been hours and Heaven still hasn't arrived. I was getting worried because they were supposed to be here about 2 hours ago. I was contemplating back and forth biting my nail in nervousness. I knew that Jhene and Mixx wanted to leave, but they promised that they were going to stick with me until they get here.

"What if something happened?" I asked.

"Nothing happened. It could be a plane delay." Jhene said.

"Yea, you never know. They'll be here all you have to do is relax." Mixx said.

"Well I can't relax!" I snapped. "I want my daughter right now and its making me nervous to know that I don't know where she is."

"Ok well I guess she can answer your questions." Mixx said pointing.

I turned around and saw the social service woman holding a little girl's hand. I figured it was Heaven and I couldn't help but feel happy. I walked up to them and the social service woman explained to me that it was a plane delay for about 45 minutes. So they took off later than expected. I understood and kneeled to Heaven and smiled.

"Hi Heaven." I said.

"Hi." Heaven said. She had the cutest baby voice ever. She was only one and a half and she was already able to speak. "My name is Hazel and I'll be your new mother and I hope that's ok." As I was saying that, I put out my hand to shake hands with Heaven. She was hesitant at first, but instead of getting a handshake, she came and hugged me. I couldn't help but her hugged back and shed a tear.

"Ok well it seems like you have this all under control. I'm going to call you for the first 6 months to check up on Heaven making sure that everything's ok." the social service woman said.

I let go of Heaven and stood back up. "Ok that's fine."

"So here's my number and you'll be hearing from me very soon. And you can call me anytime if you have any questions." the social service woman said.

"No problem." I said.

The social service woman bent down and gave Heaven a hug. Then she waved goodbye to me, Heaven, Mixx, and Jhene and went back on the plane. I guess that it was a stop because she was allowed back on the plane. I grabbed Heaven and her luggage and we all walked back to the car. We all went back to my house and I helped Heaven settle in. I was so glad that I finally had a daughter...one of my own and I was so happy.

Mixx

Hazel was in her own little world at the time, so Jhene and I snuck out and went back home. I got in my car and went back home and once I closed the door the house was completely silent. And it was supposed to be. The tv was off and no food aroma was feeling the air. I went upstairs into Isaiah's room and he was sound asleep. I smiled and closed the door behind me. Then I heard noises that weren't supposed to be in the house.

I quietly creeped down the hallway and when I opened the door, I couldn't believe my eyes...
