Please remember that each chapter is a little piece of the puzzle so be patient with Phoenix and give her time to grow and formulate explanations before you automatically judge her. Let's just chill with the negativity and keep it a lil more positive. 🙂

It had been about 15 days since Chris and Phoenix had last saw one another. During that time, they spent between 10 and 15 minutes every couple of days speaking to one another on the phone but Phoenix made it a point to try to text him throughout the day. She had been enjoying her space away from him and although she missed him at times, the feeling wasn't completely unbearable.

After picking Chris up from the airport, the couple spent some time talking and catching up. Phoenix made sure to explain to him why she opted to buy a house in the exact way she'd explained to Gwen and the fact that the decision had nothing to do with him. By the end of their conversation, Chris had a lot more clarity on his girlfriend's thought process and he appreciated her for proactively taking the time to explain it to him.

Phoenix had Gwen to thank for allowing her to vent her frustrations which was an unexpected wake up call for her. Actually talking to someone aloud really helped Phoenix to become aware of the many things she didn't even know she had been feeling. She had gotten so used to bottling her feelings up and pushing them aside that she didn't even realize when something new popped up. With all of the new knowledge she gained about her wants and needs, she had been waiting for the opportunity to tell Chris exactly how she'd been feeling in person and figured tomorrow would be the day to do so since they had planned to spend an entire 24 hours together without outside interruptions.

"And that's it." Phoenix spoke as she finished giving Chris a tour of her new home.

He wasn't exactly sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at the place his girlfriend could now call home. He couldn't deny that the house was absolutely stunning but it also fit Phoenix's personality to a t. There were high ceilings, a ton of windows that drew in natural lighting, spacey bedrooms, a huge jacuzzi bathtub, and the list went on and on. It was just what he had always dreamt for her and he was proud that she was able to achieve it on her own.

Although the place wasn't fully furnished yet, Phoenix managed to finish her bedroom in less than a week. She was currently working on the living room, where a huge tv was mounted above the fireplace and directly across from the sectional couch they had in storage from their NY apartment. She was planning on using it just until she found one that fit the space better but she wanted Chris's opinion on which couch to go with.

Even though it was technically her house, she wanted him to feel completely at home and comfortable like she did in his Boston penthouse. It was important that she got his input on some design choices as she had hoped he would spend his time there whenever he was in L.A., whether it was for work or just to hangout which happened to be almost half the time considering the fact that most of his projects were filmed in California.

"It's beautiful." Chris complimented. "And your closet is HUGE."

"Huge enough to fit all your dorky sweaters in." Phoenix joked before wrapping her arms around his torso and hugging him very gently, being careful not to push her body against his and cause him to get aroused.

"You love my dorky sweaters!" He chuckled while resting his hands on her butt. Before he had the chance to kiss his girlfriend, they were interrupted by the doorbell.

"You have to answer it. It's Benoit." Phoenix told him. "We like to get footage of people answering the door."

"Okay..." Chris trailed off as he followed his girlfriend to the front door. She stood directly behind him before he opened the door. At the sight of the camera, he let out a breath.
