"Hey, look! He's right there." Mackie spoke to Phoenix when they finally approached the studio door, where Chris was outside waiting for them. She had randomly bursted into tears right after her doctor's appointment, citing the reason being that she 'missed Chris.' Because it had been a while since he had dealt with a pregnant woman, Mackie had no clue how to react or comfort her.

"Aw, come here." Chris opened his arms at the sight of his wife. It was obvious that she had been crying not too long ago as her eyes were still red and puffy.

Right away, Phoenix ran into his arms and nuzzled her head in his chest.

"I swear I didn't do anything to her." Mackie raised his hands in the air.

'Hormones,' Chris mouthed, earning a nod from his friend.

"What's wrong? Why were you crying?" Chris asked while stroking the back of Phoenix's head.

She tightened her arms around his torso before speaking into his chest, which caused her voice to come out muffled. "I just missed you."

"I missed you too." He replied honestly. "But I'm right here now so there's no need to be sad or cry. Okay?"

She nodded.

"I want to give you a kiss honey but I can't if you keep hiding your beautiful face from me." Chris added, sweetly.

Without a word, Phoenix gazed into his gorgeous blue eyes and it was as if every single thought she had fled from her mind.

Chris leaned down to press his lips onto hers, allowing them to melt together as he gently ran his hand up and down her back. When Phoenix opened her mouth slightly, he took advantage and slid his tongue in. After about 45 seconds of passionately kissing, Mackie interrupted the couple by clearing his throat loudly.

Even though Chris and Phoenix were married and expecting a baby, Mackie still viewed her as the young girl he met on the set of Infinity War. He definitely didn't want to see or even think about Phoenix doing anything remarkably sexual, including kissing her husband.

With his arms still wrapped around Phoenix, Chris turned to Mackie. "Thank you for today, Mack but I've got it from here. I owe you one."

Mackie gave Chris's shoulder a pat before rubbing Phoenix's upper back in the most friendly way possible. "It was no problem man. I'll see you both tomorrow."

"If you return my wife back to me again in this condition, we're gonna have an issue." Chris joked, causing Mackie to laugh.

After sending Mackie off, Chris lead Phoenix to his trailer but not before introducing her as his wife to everyone they walked past on the way.

Chris and Phoenix sat in his trailer just talking for about 20 minutes until a knock at the door interrupted them.

He didn't even have to open it to know Jenny was standing on the other side. "What's up?"

"Can I come in?"

"My wife is in here." He responded in a flat tone.

"Oh god, I'm sorry." Jenny apologized. "I didn't need anything. Sorry for disturbing you both."

"It's okay. We were just talking." Chris told her before opening the door wide enough for her to step in. "Actually, why don't you come in?"

"Oh that's okay." She shook her head.

"I insist." Chris added with a smile. He thought it'd be nice for Jenny to see he and Phoenix together as a couple with her own eyes so his friendliness and professionalism wasn't taken the wrong way. It wasn't as if she had over stepped any boundaries during the time they'd spent filming together but for both of their sakes, he wanted her to know that the door was permanently closed on them.
