As Phoenix stepped out of the cab she shared with Chris, she took a deep breath, inhaling the New York air. It seemed like a lifetime ago that she and Chris were living happily in Manhattan; which only reminded her that the couple spent more time in NYC together than they had anywhere else. It was where they built their relationship; the place that their relationship grew and flourished for the 2 years after Endgame wrapped. Although it had only been 5 months since they moved from NY to L.A. and then back to Boston, it felt like years had passed. Within that 5 months, so much had occurred: from getting a new dog to buying a home to breaking up with Chris to finding out she was pregnant and then finally marrying her soulmate.
"Right through here." Chris placed his hand on the small of Phoenix's back, leading her into the gallery that Benoit's friend owned.
The second Phoenix's heel hit the ground, she was greeted by 20 of her closest friends screaming 'SURPRISE' in front of a banner that read: Happy Birthday, Phoenix!
