"Do you want another beer?" Chris asked Mackie as he stood in front of his open refrigerator.
"Nah I'm good." Mackie replied while looking down at his phone which was vibrating nonstop with messages from the Avengers group chat. When he unlocked his phone, he found at least 10 images sent by Jeremy Renner of Tom and Phoenix making out at what seemed to be some kind of festival. "WOW."
"What's up?" Chris wondered after popping the cap off of his third beer and heading back over to the couch.
"Actually, I will take another beer." Mackie spoke before Chris could return to his seat. It didn't take but a second for him to spot Chris's phone sitting on the couch next to him. He was determined to somehow make sure his heartbroken friend didn't see the images and now video of Tom and Phoenix. He couldn't understand why Renner would share those photos with the entire group chat, including Chris but then again, he had always been a bit of a dick.
"No problem." Chris nodded. He took a swig of his beer and placed it on the coffee table, heading back to the kitchen afterwards.
The very second Chris had his back turned, Mackie grabbed his phone from the couch and attempted to guess his passcode. He tried '1234,' '0000,' among others. Mackie sighed loudly when he got the warning that the phone would be disabled if he entered another incorrect passcode.
"Anything else while I'm still in here?" Chris asked.
"Uhh could you put my beer in a glass?"
"Yeah, sure." Chris replied.
"With ice." He added in order to stall longer.
"Ice?" Chris questioned. "That's weird."
"When's Phoenix's birthday?" Mackie asked randomly.
"November 4th. Why?"
"No reason." He lied before he typed '1104' into his friend and costar's iPhone symbolizing Phoenix's birthday in numbers. He wasn't even slightly surprised when the phone unlocked. "She's a Scorpio? That explains a lot."
"It does, doesn't it?" Chris laughed.
"Yeah." Mackie replied quietly as he went straight to Chris's messages and found the Avengers group chat. He quickly began deleting the images and videos Renner sent to them, looking up every now and then to make sure Chris wasn't heading back to the couch.
"I can see you from the corner of my eye, Mackie." Chris chuckled while giving his costar the space to finish up what ever he was doing on his phone.
"You made your passcode your ex girlfriend's birthday." Mackie shrugged. "How unsurprising."
"To be fair, it used to be my mom's birthday but I changed it to Phoenix's the day I told her I was in love with her."
"Modern romance."
"Yes; except for the fact that she broke up with me." Chris mumbled under his breath while joining Mackie on the couch. He didn't even bother bringing back the beer Mackie asked for to keep him in the kitchen longer.
"But you're still in love with her and you still want to be with her?" Mackie questioned after returning Chris's phone with all the pictures deleted from the group chat.
"Of course." He nodded.
"But you've been going on dates with Jenny for weeks now and you slept her three days ago?"
