Chapter 4~ The Joy of Cell Phones

The day passed by pretty normally, despite seeing Gene, Sasha, and Zenix in my chemistry class... The person that was always missing at my table, I learned, was Zenix, who bothered everyone at the table. I hope I don't have any classes with him tomorrow, if he is attending classes tomorrow... That's the joy of block scheduling! I liked my F through J classes a lot more, cause I have English language arts with a nice and cool teacher, and right after, art, my favorite class for the past at least seven years.

I liked drawing, painting, and the likes, but I wasn't amazing at it. I usually stuck with an anime style, and my friends said that I should be a manga artist. They even went as far as to say that I was good enough to create an entire series by myself... Which I highly doubt. I do think about it a lot, cause I think it could be super fun! I just think it might be too much pressure sometimes...

Currently, I was waiting in the school field, texting my mom.

Y- Y/n M- Mom

Y: Hey, Mom. Would either you or Dad be able to pick me up from school?

M: Sorry, your father had a sudden business trip, and we're on our way to the airport. It will be about 2 hours until I'm on my way back

Y: Oh, okay... I'm just gonna walk home

M: Ok. See you then

Of course Dad has a sudden business trip... I ended up going to sit on the bleachers, and I checked my other messages. I saw that I had seven messages from my brother.

B: Did you actually skip with Gene and his gang?
B: I don't wanna believe you skipped
B: Why did Gene send me a pic of you in the guidance counselor's office? I can tell he took the pic

Oh gosh, he's really mad. He used the hecc word, and he used the wrong there/their/they're...

I thought of what to say. Would it be best if I told the truth or lied? If I told the truth, he'd probably get mad or worried... I guess I'm gonna lie, even though I've been doing a lot of that today.

Y: Hey, don't freak out. Things be okay. I didn't skip class, Gene was just being a jerk trying to get back at you for something. I got called down to the office when I ran into his gang. As for the picture, Mr. Eisler had to talk to us about stuff, but was out of the room for a bit, so that's when Gene took the pic. I know the Shadow Knights are bad, but I'm gonna give em a chance

B: Hmm. Okay. Still, stay away from Gene. He's not good for you 😡

Y: Kinda hard when I'm trying to check up on him and his gang to see if they're being good
Y: I'm sort of friends with the one you're most worried about ^^;;

B: Try not to get into trouble cause of him, then. DON'T GET TOO CLOSE TO HIM! You're gonna date at some point, but your first bf better not be Gene
