{Rosemarie's POV}

I had to admit, I was nervous. More nervous than usual...

My father and I sat in the back of the sleek black car as our driver drove us to The War Pack. My heart was beating frantically each step closer we got. I didn't understand why I was so nervous. I'm with my father, so I'm going to be protected no matter what.

"Have you thought about what you're going to say?" he asked breaking the silence.

"Uh, well I looked at the papers you gave me a while back and it seems that Alpha Mathias' pack has no rogues roaming. None of the patrols has spotted any because rogues are too scared to even near his pack, but the Immaculate pack is different. Alpha Ivy may be a strong leader, but people see that pack as innocent. I think by doubling their patrol and making a statement of trespassers will help that. I read up and they're just warning people who trespass while Alpha Mathias literally holds them in cells with some of the worst to just make a point. Maybe if other packs do something like that, maybe not to that extreme, but something along those lines, rogues will know their place. To be honest, we've gone soft." I finished and looked at him warily.

"Is...is that okay?" I asked and he raised a brow.

"A queen never ask if their decision is the right one. They stick to what they think is right." He stated, turning his head away but I couldn't help but notice the small smirk that crawled onto his face before doing so.

I think that's the first time he's liked something I've come up with. I smiled to myself as I turned and looked out the window.

Soon enough, the long, torturous ride was over as we pulled up to the pack. It seemed to always be dark and gloomy around here. As we drove through the front gates, people in orange jumpsuits and vests were out picking up trash and I couldn't help but reach over to hit the lock once more to make sure it was indeed locked. My father chuckled at my reaction.

"It's been a while since you were last here," he stated.

"Yeah... why did I have to stop coming? I mean, mom told me Mathias was changing but I didn't quite understand why."

"Mathias is a powerful man, Rose. Most haven't got to see him but his pack. I myself haven't seen him since he was a kid. The transition of title from Mason to Mathias was a secluded night itself that I had to watch over a video conference. His parents didn't want him around a lot of people as a kid. He was different as you know; A full lycan. I'm surprised he finally agreed to meet with us tonight."

"How is he so powerful? What's so crazy about a full lycan?" he looked at me like I was crazy.

"Did you not pay attention in any of your history classes?" he asked and a blush crossed my cheeks.

"Not particularly my favorite subject."

"Mathias could control his mother when he was in the womb, Rose." my eyes nearly left my head.

"What?!"

"That is how powerful he is. From what I heard, he is the first full lycan in years to possess such abilities. For example, take Alara Lavender, your mother, and alpha mason and mash them into one person. That is how powerful he is."

"He has witch abilities?"

"From what I heard." he noded.

"Wow...how?"

"Ancestors."

Poor kid. That's a lot to take in.

"As a kid, he shifted at a young age for the first time. He doesn't have a wolf like we do, which means his temper is different, his way of thought is different, and his abilities are different. His parents are half lycan as I'm sure you know. So they could shift as a wolf or as a lycan. Mathias doesn't have a choice. He shifts into a beast and there is nothing he can do about it. The only good thing about him being a full lycan is that he isn't half so he doesn't have an ancestor soul whispering thoughts to him he just has ancestor genes. He can make his own decisions and that's a good thing. He can shift when he wants as well. Other half lycans are sometimes overpowered by their other ancestor side. Think of it as sometimes as our wolves want to fight to take over. He doesn't have to worry about that."
