"I'm so sorry about your loss, I know you loved him so much, well once upon a time," Raina whispered into my ear as we sat right behind the family in the church. Pusha sat directly behind me as a second pair of eyes just in case my momma would come up and make a scene worth watching.

The outcome of Zacardi's funeral was super packed. He had people that he graduated with from high school and college. He had family and people that knew him just from around the way. But the outcome of women was ridiculous, which just gave me further validation that he was slanging his dick every damn where. I wasn't focused on that though; I wanted to see if my mom would show up to the funeral despite everything that happened.

I didn't even want to be there to be honest. If it wasn't for daddy and Pusha saying that attending would make it more believable that I at least cared about his death. It would steer me away from even being a suspect. Pusha even went as far as telling me to speak at the funeral since in his mother's words, "Zacardi was madly in love with me." whatever bullshit he told her when she was alive.

I looked down at the ceremony paper that had his picture on it. He smiled so naturally and seemed normal than the sicko he was. But his parents really went all out. All white casket that had his name in gold cursive, flowers filled the whole church and the TV production was A1.

"Now we will have sister Tamia Jones say a few words in honor of Zacardi," The pastor said as I took a deep breath putting on my blacked out shades avoiding any eye contact with anyone.

I stood up instantly cueing the waterworks making my way to the front of the church. Before getting to the podium, I gave his mother and father hugs, then turned to the casket. It was opened, and I had to give credit where it was due.The headshot was barely noticeable, and he looked like he was taking a nap.

"Karma surely is a bitch," I mumbled to myself before walking up the steps to the podium and facing the church.

I took a deep breath glancing at the screen as a picture of Zacardi and I from last year popped up on the screen.
