It's been said that only a queen may ascend to the throne, and only daughters have been born to the other royal family for generations. So each daughter will become the next queen and betrothed to a prince. Everyone's amazement fills the town, until this unlucky royal couple had a son. To avoid some unpleasant relative taking over in their place, they forced the prince to become a princess in appearance, dress, and behave. Even to make things REALLY awkward because "she" has been betrothed to a neighboring prince before he—er, she—was born. What can go wrong? My name is Jackson Mayan, at least, that's what it says on my birth certificate. I was told to lie about my gender and my name. By hiding my true identity and well, it was so poor communication.
