"You hung out with that Bakugo and Kirishima kid?!"
Azami rubbed the back of her neck nervously as her two dads eyed her suspiciously. They had apparently grown concerned for her when she refused to answer their many calls when she didn't come back for lunch-- because she was with the strange friend duo and her phone was on silent the entire time. She ended up telling them about everything that happened, including the fact that Eijiro and Katsuki had pretty much taken her out to lunch for free.
Well, mainly Katsuki since he paid for the majority of the meals.
(Probably as a way to thank Eijiro for helping him at the USJ, although he'd never actually say that out loud. Azami just so happened to be there as well, so he probably figured it'd be better to pay for her meal as well).
"Well, some ramen isn't really going to satisfy a hunger like mine, especially since I didn't eat dinner, so I just decided to go with them! I mean, free food is free food, right?" Azami laughed nervously, not really liking how the two males' eyes bore into her like they were interrogating her, especially Shota, who was definitely the most protective out of the two.
"Well, I can't argue there... I would love to be taken out on a nice cafe for some free food too..." Hizashi stared out the window dreamily as he imagined it.
All those delicious pastries and cakes with those amazingly good cups of coffee? That was definitely his ideal day.
"Geez, if you wanted to go out on a date then you could've just said so, Zashi." Shota rolled his eyes at his blonde lover, and he was suddenly glad that his face was wrapped completely in bandages, because now the two other occupants in the room wouldn't notice his blushing face.
He needs to keep up the cold and emotionless persona, you know?
"Going out on a date in your condition? You look like a mummy, dad. I'm pretty sure people are going to think speaker dad is dating a thousand year old deceased man instead of a 30 year old dead guy." Azami chuckled, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall opposite her fathers.
Hizashi bursted out laughing at Azami's comment while Shota let out an annoyed groan.
"Are you calling me dead, Azami?" Shota questioned.
"Isn't it true though? I mean, I haven't lived a day where I saw you not look like you were completely dead inside," Azami said, "Other than when you fake living, which mostly happens during conferences and interviews."
Shota opened his mouth but then closed it again. Hizashi was still giggling like an idiot on the chair next to him as Shota sighed in defeat.
"You got me there, kid. You win this round." Shota leaned back against his pillow and stared at the ceiling, not really liking how so painfully true his daughter's words were.
