The library was the lunch room of choice today, seeing as someone had sat at her normal table. She had turned around and walked in here, grabbed a comic from her bag and was slowly eating a piece of bread. Yum.

Lucky for her she wasn't really focused on how unsatisfying the bread was because she was enjoying the book so. A fascinating fight between two villains filled the page as both tried to steal the same money from the same bank, punches, kicks, powers, and deception goes and -

"You like comics?"

"Ahhh" Violet screamed in surprise and looked up to see Jasper sitting in front of her.

"Shhhhh" the librarian said with a glare from across the room. Violets cheeks flushed and she gave the women a apologetic look. She then turned back to Jasper with a small glare

"What the hell" she whispered, he gave her a small look, as he always did. His face was always so blank, he tried very hard to be constantly controlling in, Violet had noticed every muscle in his body was in constant stress of being so tense. It was behind those seemly blank and stone faces that Violet was able to see expressions, a small tilt of his lips were a smile, if accompanied by a raise of eyebrow it became a smirk. Sometimes his eyes narrowed slightly, which could be anger or more commonly seen by her suspicion. Right now he had curiosity, which she noticed by narrowed eyes and tilted head.

"I asked if you liked comics." He stated again.

"How the hell did you get here so quietly?"

"You were just very invested in your book"he excused, she guesses that could be right. She shook her head still, and looked back down at her book.

"You gave me a heart attack"

"I saw" she looked back at him to see his small look of amusement, she rolled her eyes with a scoff before looking back at the book and turning a page

"I do. Like comics that is, although I'm sure it was quite obvious seeing as I'm reading one, and have several times in front of you" she said in a teasing voice

"Yes well I wanted to make sure before I asked you why?" She heard him say. She raised her eyebrows, still looking at the page.

"Why do I like them? Why does anyone like anything? They just do"

"Everyone has reasons. Why they like the things they do"

"I don't know, I like hero's and villains, and I like the creativity of the characters, even when they are far fetched"

"So you believe that, that there are villains and hero's" at that question she stopped. Her eyes stayed in a spot as she thought about the answer, she felt her face scrunch up as she thought

"I think... that it would be easy to. To split people into two separate groups, villains and heroes. But nothing in this world is that easy"

"But what if it was, what if something happened, and someone became a villain, if there sole purpose was to kill"

"I don't believe that, my favorite part of comics is the choice every hero and villain is given" there was a long pause, Violet could tell he didn't understand so she sighed

"Well, in each origin story the characters gain their powers and at some point they are forced to choose how they are going to use theses powers. It's normally a choice, a man can be given the power to do anything he wants, he can be given all theses tools to do the wrong thing, steal, murder, manipulate, etc..but instead, he can be a hero, and save people. I think that is beautiful."

"What about monsters"

"Not all monsters do monsters things. It's really all a matter of perspective" there was a long pause, and Violet looked back up at him. He had a thoughtful look on his face as he watched her. She felt her heart speed at the moment. She felt her throat go dry as she realized how intensely he was looking at her this whole time. She swallowed the frog in her thought and but her lip

"Did you come for something?" She asked. After a brief pause he let the intense hold he was putting her in and leaned back and nodded his head

"I saw you weren't in the cafeteria" he said carelessly. She smirked lightly

"So naturally you came to find me" she said raising a brow. He didnt respond. Instead just gave a small shrugg. She sighed and nodded her head and looked back at the page. "your confusing"

"I should go" she heard him say and from the corner of her eye she saw him raise from his seat

"Be my guest" she commented and turned the page

"Thank you, for the conversation" a small smile came to her face as he she heard him say that in his southern tone

"Thank you, for the conversation" a small smile came to her face as he she heard him say that in his southern tone. Such a strange sentence as well.

"Your welcome" said nodding her head, and saw as he soon walked away

What a strange conversation.
