Chapter 8: Study Buddies

Ring! Ring!

Huh? What the hell is that dreadful sound?
I sit up... in my room. Wait, how did I get here?

Ring! Ring! Ring!

Right, I forgot, my alarm. I get up and take a shower.

I get out and get ready for school. Ughhh! Great! School...

"Hurry up dude! We're gonna be late!" Bri shouts, banging on my door.

"I'm ready, sheesh!" I shout back, grabbing my needed items and walking out of my room.

I pull into a parking spot, turning down the music...

"Hey! I was listening to that" Bri argues, turning it back up.

I roll my eyes and dance along to the music.

Knock! Knock!

I turn to see Kairi outside of my window, remembering that I met him at the kickback. I roll it down.

"Hey!" I say

"Good taste in music! I didn't know you came here..." he says.

"Yea, second day actually..." I say, before getting interrupted by the sound of the bell ringing.

"Well, guess it's time to go into this hellhole." Bri says from behind me.

We get out and walk with Kairi towards the entrance.

"Wait up!!" We hear someone yell.

I turn around to see another one of the boys, Alvaro to be exact.

We walk to our separate classes, "You have this class too?" Alvaro asks.

"Yea" I laugh as we head into class and sit in our seats.

The first few classes were slow, but thankfully it's now lunch.

"Hey, y/n!!" I hear someone yell from behind me.

"Vic!!!" I reply, turn around and waiting for her to catch up.

"Come sit with me. I could use another girl at the table" she says, laughing.

I agree as we get our food and head over to were she usually sits.

"Hey, y/n!" Roshaun shouts, making room for us at the table he, Alvaro, Robert and Kairi were sitting st.

"Hey, Roshaun" I say, as we sit down.

I see Alejandro and Mattia coming towards us.

"Heyy, what's up!" Ale says to me, sitting next to Vic and greeting her afterwards.

"Hey, y/n. Didn't know you were gonna be sitting with us today.." Mattia says, sitting next to me.

"Yea, I didn't either. Hey, do you happen to know how I got home?"

"I gave you a ride. I tried to wake you up, but you were dead asleep. So, I just carried you to the car. Bri followed so she helped you in to your house." He says, beginning to eat.

"Oh, oops. Sorry about that.." I say apologetically.

"It's okay, it was really late."

We all ate and made conversation. Then the bell rings.

We all say goodbye and start to head to our classes.

"I didn't know you had this class" Roshaun says.

"Oh, yea, I am. You guys are goofballs, always making me laugh on the other side of the room, surprised you guys haven't gotten detention yet" I reply, giggling.

We head in and take our seats.

"Hello, class. Today we will be starting a new project. I have chosen your partners however" the teacher begins to say, earning groans from everyone in the class.

"Alvaro and Roshaun.... and finally, y/n and Mattia. If you guys have any questions related to the project, please feel free to ask me and email me at anytime." He finishes off.

Everyone starts to gather with their partners. Just as I'm about to get up...

"So.. I guess we're partners" Mattia says, sitting on the desk next to me.

"I guess so.." I say facing towards him.

"So, we could get this work done faster if we worked on it after school..." he begins to say.

"Sure, my house or yours?"

"Let's switch off but start with mine though." He replies.

We agree and begin working in class.

The rest of the day was kind of boring....
